West where the Sunsets
another thing that came and went for me i'm ashamed to say :francis: stopped watchin TV for a long while.

The Batman was the last bat-cartoon i seriously watched

Incredibly awesome show, man. Seriously. If you're a comic book head it's a must watch. The first ep makes it come off like a kid show, but that's the only one ep that feels like's designed for kids. A lot of comedy in it. It's a show dedicated to the silver age of comics and uses A LOT of characters. Booster Gold is jokes. :mjlol:

They got an ep where Batman confronts Joe Chill. :wow:

I HIGHLY recommend it. Top 5 comic book cartoon shows and my second favorite Batman themed show. I plan on buying the BRs in the future.

I made a thread some years back about it. I think it's in the Arcadium.

I got Lucifer back. :mjcry: I enjoyed it. I can't really pass judgement on the book or compare it to the old series (I know some folks are just ITCHING to try) because the old series couldn't be judged as a bunch of single issues. The old series was built like a machine. Wheels within wheels and cogs turning cogs.

This is just a single issue.

Squadron Supreme: :ohhh::gladbron: boy oh boy what a trip down memory lane those first pages were! It's cool to know that they didn't do the generic thing and just retcon some other squadron supreme/sinister. These are all ESTABLISHED characters with ESTABLISHED history. Blur is from old New Universe's DP 7, for the folks who don't know.

Black Panther got robbed, though.

Unless it's revealed that Nighthawk is actually Black Panther.

:mjlol: yeah yeah I'm just joking.

And if you never ever had a clue about how OP Hyperion really is..... here's a small clue.

my childhood.... :to:

Nah, I'm sorry. It's just that looking over old pics, ads and covers from that time... Before the comics boom of the 90s and old/immortal special forces soldiers with huge guns, trench coats and millions of pouches on their outfits....

I think the fallout from The Cold War had us paranoid as hell. Kids were constantly fed "Us vs Them" mentality and The Russians were constantly the bad guys in every movie... but GI Joe and Transformers never hit people when they were shooting.

Look how tense/intense these comic ads were.

But cats wanna call the mid 90s "grim and gritty". Really.... what the hell were you reading in the 80s? Archie?
