X-Men ain’t been good since the Schism.

I loved how the X-Men were in San Diego basically being a army scaring humans, villains, AND the Avengers. It was dope. X-Club, New Mutants used as a apprehension/detective squad, Psyclocke and her security team.

I've been Collecting Comics since 1985, real heavy from 1987-1994, off and on since, The Last recent Comic I brought was The Immortal Hulk issue 15 and last comic series event I brought was World War Hulk in 2007......I even got my son Collecting Comics, but me being:flabbynsick: at 42 I finally found a comic site that I can read Comics online for free, I was like :ooh:

Now I feel kind of Guilty:francis: I believe in keeping Comic Shops open and support them, and there's something about buying comics with the carboard and sleeves, read them and put them up in your comic box in alphabetical order

But now I'm like shyt unless it's a Hulk, Batman comic or a major event that interest me I might not ever buy a comic now:francis:

Except going to the comic store with my son and buying comics for my son

It's glass half full/empty tbh. Comics are simply going the way of music and movies; we're at a point where ppl buy what they support as opposed to buying for "access". So on one hand, can't really pull the okie doke on customers with a shytty overpriced book because ppl can scope it out for free and then decide if they want to financially support it (knowing that's the only way the stories will continue).

Otoh, it makes things harder for the creators.. but shyt the whole comic book store "system" is flawed and archaic anyway. Marvel and DC's true customers aren't us, it's the comic store owner... i.e. once Marvel/DC sell their comic orders to the owners 3+ months in advance (using variant covers and other gimmicks as incentives), the bag is secured for them regardless of whether the owner is able to sell any of those comics.

Which is why a lot of store owners just order a shytload Batman, Spider-Man, etc and have a short lease on anything "new". So many creators are fukked anyway

Which means, for us, supporting a failing/niche comic today may be meaningless bc the comic store owner already made his/her decision for the next 3 months. The system needs to change and comic book stores probably need to die and be reborn as something else that cuts out the middle-man

Hickman is real good..he knows what he's doing. He can set big things with a big payoff...good ones like you used to get with prime Claremont aka the GOAT when he was dropping classic legendary $hit.
I know Hickman. There are just too many damn characters there. An issue the X-men always had. I know he'll do a solid, but damn

If Lobdell can handle it, he can. And there is always a primary 8 characters.

This is a new Xavier joint...Magneto will matter, I'm thinking Jean isnt going anywhere after returning months ago....Storm isnt going anywhere..Wolverine..Cyclops
.then the key Extras start to matter. And theres a question if Xavier is heeling all over again but not quite Onslaught level...

I'm not saying HIckman can't handle it. It's just the how.

These types of comics really takes me back. I would see the covers but never got my hand on them since I was a kid.
I gotta check out that Gangsta Rap Posse comic :dead:

That's funny you mention it. I just started re-reading the series. One of my favorites.

West where the Sunsets
War of Realms just started and Marvel is already promoting a new event in July. :dead: :stopitslime:

Called Acts of Evil. Looks to be some sort of ripoff of the Acts of Vengeance event back in the day.

Gotta respect DC for :whoa: on the events. Marvel pushing these shyts out and they don't even have any real effect on the comic books post-event. :scust:
