Thinking of collecting the Quasar run from the late 80s. I'm not big on him, but I'm kind of interested in the cosmic stuff. I have various issues from that run.

:heh: it was great at points. It got mired down by event crossovers like everything else at points, though.

It had it's moments. Cosmos in Collision, the female version of Adam Warlock sweating him, Starblast.....

He's not one of my faves, but I like his work on 52 Batman.

Yeah, I have a few of this Her issues. When she's trying to find a suitor. :heh:

I'll stick with buying random issues I come across. :ld:

yeah, that's for the best really. I don't wanna say Marvel dropped the ball with Quasar. I just think they got bored with having their own Green Lantern.

It's kinda a shame right now, the upper level metaphysical Marvel U is kinda limited to "Celestials show up and job"/"Thanos shows up and wins".

It could use some of the Doctor Who level cosmic fukkery that was prevalent during the 90's.

edit: Hickman was on it, but Bendis killed that quick.

I always thought that Nova corp was their version of Green Lantern corp.

Quasar is coming back. Marvel just solicited a bunch of trades and they only do that when the character is in a movie or gonna be in comics.

Quasar's Quantum Bands had pretty much the power of a GL Ring. Detect cosmic threats, control of the entire known spectrum of energy, automatic force field that made it possible to live in space, creating shapes of whatever the wearer could imagine, creating wormholes to travel through/siphon energy, a telepathic link to the "Guardian of the Universe (Eon, then Epoch)", etc. etc......

The Nova Corps could just...... fly and shyt.

you could be right.

Wendell (quasar) gave the bands to some broad and is mentoring her at the D-Level of comics that nobody writes about.

IMO they missed their chance when Phyla-Vell had the bands and was in Guardians of the Galaxy. but that's just IMO

DC NATION: Bendis Superman was clearly the best story. The Joker one was typical King jerking off

Action Comics Special #1 - Best thing ive read in a while :whew:

The Last Will and Testament of Lex Luthor by Jurgens was incredible. A classic story:wow:

And the Mark Russell Lex Trump allegory was funny too.
