currently have the 65" Samsung KS8500 curved tv. I've had it for about 2 years and I have no complaints. I play games on it without any issues.

LG 55 C7 Is the TV I watch most in my bed room. 2017 model.
Samsung 55JS9000 is my living room TV. 2015 model.

I also have a Sony KDL-55W900A (2013) and a KDL-55W950B (2014) that cost me so much I just kept them even after I upgraded both my TVs to 4K models. I'll keep at least the W900A as that's probably the greatest 1080p gaming TV ever made.

I'll consider replacing the Samsung with a C9 but probably won't as that was $6500 spent on TVs in a 4 year run and that's not the worst of it because there are 3 other TVs I bought in 2011-2012 that I ended up selling. That was $10,000 spent on TVs from 2011-2017. Just a total waste of money. Should have invested it.

Yeah, we just got a dinky 1080 in our bedroom. I don't really see the point in blowing lots of cash on any tv that isn't going to the primary viewing device. And truth be told, every time I watch the lcd in our bedroom I'm constantly amazed at how good the picture quality is, regardless of how little we paid for it.

Sony Z8H 8K
Sony details pricing, availability of AirPlay 2, HomeKit 8K, 4K smart TVs

At the high end of the collection are the Z8H 8KHDR LED televisions. As the name suggests, the screens all offer 8K-resolution images, including upscaling of 4K and Full HD video to 8K using Sony's 8K X-Reality PRO system, with further enhancement by Sony's Object-based Super Resolution to reproduce real-world textures that may be lost in the upscaling process.

Powered by the Picture Processor X1 Ultimate, the Z8H uses a Triluminos display with a full array LED system featuring local dimming for deeper black shades and brighter lights. Sound comprises of acoustic multi-audio with a vibrating frame tweeter that embeds the speaker into the frame.

  • 85" Class (84.6" diagonal): $9,999.99 MSRP (Available to order in Summer 2020)
  • 75" Class (74.5" diagonal): $6,999.99 MSRP (Available to order in Summer 2020)

O its definitely the move. This should be nice and cheaper this time next year. Hopefully there's a Corona virus selloff.

930d holding up lovely.

Looking to get a TV that can take full advantage of the next-gen consoles. C9 now? CX on Black Friday? Sony OLED?

Replacing a 2017 Vizio M70.
