New Yorkers aren’t rude, that’s a big misconception. I’m out here now saying “excuse me” and “my bad” and all I get are smiles from women.
Showing love is the Harlem way...
What's a good budget for 10 nights in Europe (3 in London, 3 in Amsterdam, 4 in Paris)?
Not budget per se, but not popping bottles? Just seeing the sights and catching the vibes. Go out in each city at least one night I'm there. Maybe do a little shopping if I see something nice e.g. the France 2018 WC 2-Star Jeresey etc. Check out one nice/decent restaurant while I'm there etc.
For context: My Flight, Eurostar tickets, and accommodation will all be covered before I get there. This is simply money to spend on ground.
I've seen on travel sight people say $100-$120 a day is pretty good budget that will allow you do a lot without the trip getting crazy expensive.
Any thoughts?
Side note: I'll be linking up in London with one of my best friends from High school in Nigeria. Our reunion has been 6 years in the making
Yea 1000 Euro should definitely be enough
London gone be way more expensive tho
I'd say 1500 to be safe if u wanna do some light shopping
1,500 Euros or Dollars? I'll probably have about $1,750 USD for the trip, which is about 1,500 Euros.
I know London will be more expensive but I'll mitigate most of that cost by hanging with my boy (free meals etc). I'm not really in London to sight-see, more just kick it with some old homies and hit some spots. Amsterdam and Paris will be where I spend more bread. In Paris I may pick up some dress shoes for work and may be a few souvenirs here and there.
In Amsterdam I just wanna bike the city man. I heard it's one of the most bikeable cities out there.
These Eurostar tickets a little funny man. How can I get $60 plane tickets but train tickets are in the 100s
Yea but not for nothing, train rides are fun in Europe if u go with your homies. Y'all get a bottle and just act a fool the whole time.
I'd still rather fly but if it's just 2-3 hrs away by train, it might be better assuming you're going with homies
And yeah 1500 Euro should be good. Manage your money right and u can shop with a cool 5-700 of that and still have bread for food/clubbing/etc
This your first time going to Europe?
I'm going solo on this trip. Not my first time in Europe, been to the UK about 4 times and Netherlands when I was much younger. Brief stint in Germany and Switzerland, but more like a long transit rather than a planned visit. This will be my first time as an adult in continental Europe though.
I'm just budgeting this trip in the same way I would if I were spending a day in NYC (arguably more expensive than Paris and Amsterdman, debatable for London).
I think I have a very good budget but it won't be like in South Africa and Kenya where I was eating steak for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner
The American dollar on the African soil a straight up cheat code
Bro how did u like Kenya?
Did you hit the westlands spots I told u about?
Kenya was dope bro. I slight notch below South Africa, but I think part of it was in how I came in. For SA, I got in Sat around like 2pm to a bustling and live Maboneng, I was jumping with excitement. For Kenya I got in late on a Sunday night and most places were dead. I was also mad tired from my flight. I still had a blast though, the trip got better as it went on. Also, it was peak rainy season so that did damper things a tad.
SA - 9.5/10, Kenya 8.5/10.
I'm not too sure I remember where you suggested but the places I hit were
Brew Bistro (best spot)
J's
Sankara Rooftop Bar
Art Cafe Lavington
The Alchemist
Black Diamonds (went there the first night I got in just to grab a few beers and relax a bit. This is the spot to go to if you need a little company for the night )
Overall great trip. Will definitely do it again but this time I'd do it as part of a greater East African tour of Kenya, Rwanda (heard Kigali is amazing), Uganda and Tanzania. I'm really just glad to expand my African horizons outside of Nigeria. I got a little bit of Southern Africa, East Africa and West. Now to do Central and North. North will be easy when you got a country like Morocco, but these Central African countries tho
Cameroon
Central African Republic
DR Congo
Angola
Hey
Yes I advised u to hit Brew Bistro. Glad u did. Did u see the girls around westlands
I heard Angola is nice. The capital Luanda is the most expensive city in Africa
