I’m not too quick to claim her because she equated her Jamaican heritage to her smoking weed when she was younger but she is from yard
Exactly.
Anyone that is really from Jamaica knows the first instinct isnt to play into the weed smoking stereotype.
I mean kudos to her for how she get herself set up but I'm not waving any flag for her. If you ask Kamala to make you curry chicken you think she gonna make it like a Jamaican or an Indian?

I'm Indian and I love Jamaican food because the flavours and tastes are so similar to our own food, but is just different enough to be refreshing and seem like something new. The blend of something that is at once very familiar and also exotic really is wonderful
But to answer your question, I don't think there is a huge difference flavour wise between say, Jamaican goat curry and Indian goat curry. So it's a strange point to bring up

Goat curry, wha name suh ?
Jamaican Curry Goat - Immaculate Bites
Are you saying this isn't Jamaican? I order it whenever I'm lucky enough to find a Jamaican restaurant, I've not had it anywhere else. Indian goat curries don't use scotch bonnet for heat; that is what distinguishes Jamaican goat curry to my taste. The use of potato according to this recipe is also different.
Indian goat curries use whole black peppercorns if it's from the south, or chopped green chillies if it's from the north. Never scotch bonnet or potatoes
we don't say goat curry...it is curry goat.Jamaican Curry Goat - Immaculate Bites
