I'm Afrakan Amerikkkan as far as I know, but I have been told be quite a few people even a few Jamaicans that me and my mother look like Yardies

Definitely not out of the realm of possibility. My ancestry here in the States can be traced back to Florence, SC (most likely by way of Charleston) and I have Gullah-Geechee in my family. My mom saw an old pic from I think the late 1880's of one of my great-great-great grandmothers from her side, and said that she was quite tall....Tall enough for her knees to rise above her waist while sitting down on a small chair or stool.
I also have a natural resistance from malaria and one of my friends who's half-Nigerian believes I might have ancestral roots from the Kongo.
And I know a lot of Afrakan lineages in the Carolinas can be traced to Senegambia and the Gold Coast. Any clues to this? Because I'm aware that quite a decent number of AAs have some degree of Caribbean ancestry without even knowing it.
