My family from JA is staying with me.

Came through with that grater cake, drops, juicie patties, Solomon Grundy and a bunch of other food that would of had them paying stacks if they got caught by customs :blessed:

I'm Afrakan Amerikkkan as far as I know, but I have been told be quite a few people even a few Jamaicans that me and my mother look like Yardies :ehh: Definitely not out of the realm of possibility. My ancestry here in the States can be traced back to Florence, SC (most likely by way of Charleston) and I have Gullah-Geechee in my family. My mom saw an old pic from I think the late 1880's of one of my great-great-great grandmothers from her side, and said that she was quite tall....Tall enough for her knees to rise above her waist while sitting down on a small chair or stool.

I also have a natural resistance from malaria and one of my friends who's half-Nigerian believes I might have ancestral roots from the Kongo.

And I know a lot of Afrakan lineages in the Carolinas can be traced to Senegambia and the Gold Coast. Any clues to this? Because I'm aware that quite a decent number of AAs have some degree of Caribbean ancestry without even knowing it.
