The latest flick in the Paranormal Activity horror franchise is the first film to debut as part of Paramount’s new flexible release plan. Paramount is shortening the amount of time between the film’s theater release date and its home entertainment release, and theater chains that opt in get a cut of the film’s digital profits. Several major theater chains elected not to participate, so The Ghost Dimension is opening in just over 1,500 locations, as opposed to the last film in the franchise, Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones, which played at 2,867 locations and debuted to $18.3 million. The Ghost Dimension is eyeing a debut between $10 and $12 million.

Yeah read it a week ago in deadline. Pissing a lot of theaters off with the move

i was watching a documentary on this last night and realised it knocked bruce lee's return of the dragon from the no.1 spot for top grossing film of all time

but yeah i remember watching this on IFC when i was like 16, when it was over i had this feeling of and wondering if it too kind of drove me insane a little

lol is that the reputation I've developed here? I am a harsh critic, who genuinely loves movies, there are dozens of passionate reviews I've made praising movies, or at least elements of them. Trust me on 'Paranormal 4'.

It's not that. For horror movies, you expect quality regardless. There's psycho or halloween and then there's one of those asylum horror flicks or one missed call. You should always expect them to at least be competent and good
