I read the shining and doctor sleep (and obviously saw Kubrick’s movie) before watching doctor sleep. Knowing how the events played out between the 2 books and what Mike Flanagan has to do to bring everything together because of how far Kubrick strayed from the book made me appreciate the movie way more.

Everything!!!! (Except vampires, I went o.d. on on vampire movies one year, and I haven’t felt the same since - watched all of the Underworld film series, back to back, along with all the Dracula movies, Blade and any other vamp type movie excluding Twilight during that year ) anything else, I’m game. My lesser affinity is for horror-com which I’ll watch in small doses. Favorite is supernatural, ghosts/paronormal, possession, and slasher.
Horror coms aren't for me either.

I know that movie has got to be fukkery fueled. The fact that he barges into a police precinct Terminator style is a sign off that scene alone.

Yeah there’s a lot. I read shining, dr. Sleep, Carrie and some of Salem’s lot back when my work was slow, but I haven’t been able to get to anything else recently
