Hey I don’t disagree with that just think it’s less masterfully made (peep my edit on that first post haha)

The kills are really great but the plot itself is kinda meh. Why did the voodoo guy get like 2 min of screen time when he was the entire reason for chucky being a doll woulda been way cooler if they spent more time on his character and less on developing obvious plot points like the adults not believing the kid

Just recently rewatched OG child’s play. Cool but not as awesome as I remember lol. The kid character is so dumb

2019 is the year of the remakes.
I'm starting to feel old, seeing as some of the remakes are movies from the 80s and I was there for the originals. I'm excited about a few of them, but the younger crowd is like "meh, whatever"

They really don’t lol. But horror has always remade itself. How many Frankenstein movies are there? How many Dracula movies? How many wolfman movie? shyt the mummy has been remade so many fukking times. Horror is the easiest thing to remake because people aren’t often afraid of the same things and you can use horror as allegory for other shyt.

Happy death day was solid but I doubt I’ll go out of my way to watch the sequel

That Rabid remake actually seems like it has potential

Jacobs Ladder remake? Who asked for that

I didn't go out of my way to watch the first Happy Death Day, but I liked it- I'm not going to the theater to watch the sequel but I will look out for it when it's available for streaming.
Never saw the first Jacob's Ladder Pet Sematary was among the first horror movies that I saw as a kid, so I'm kind of looking forward to that one, to see how they remake it, same with Child's Play.

Saw Happy Death Day 2 this afternoon. It was OK; not better than the first one mostly because this was more of a science fiction movie with a few slasher elements thrown in instead of a slasher horror movie with some sci-fi elements to it.
