Enjoyed Beyond the Black Rainbow, gave me Lynchian vibes with a little 2001 a Space Odyssey. Then again, those are obvious comparisons. A lot of folks might not like the pacing of it but it kept me entertained. It's an experience. I don't want to say more but I'd recommend it.

How was Suspiria brehs?!

That's next on mah list
I have an inkling of a feeling it'll get this huge Oscar push. It has all the necessary qualities (da holocaust) and would be a way to capitalize on the hype of horror's domination of the 2017 and 2018 box office

But I have a lot of qualms about it trying to do, as the kids say, The Most.

I did. It was...something. Not quite sure what though.:marquis:
Yeah, I feel like the script got too involved with itself trying to tackle all these historical allegories.... lost its sense of being a horror movie in the process

The first kill was brilliant and Tilda was amazing but there was sooo much dead weight. And as much as I love her acting I think they got a little too fond of themselves (she and the director) with the idea of her playing the male role. It certainly is trying to hit all the right spots with the modern millennial viewer, almost to the point where it feels pandering. And that denouement made me wanna throw popcorn at the screen.

Also, I have a bit of a personal crusade against digital gore. It is not yet at the point where it doesn't look silly. Again, the first kill set such a great precedent I was really disappointed to see it forgotten in lieu of a digital bloodbath.
