the creep factor was kind of slow and an hour and ten minutes in, I was wondering when the plot was gonna "get to the point" because only twenty five minutes was left

I'm looking at your list and am curious about Grave Encounters, because I see it on reputable horror lists all the time, but I've only been able to make it ~ten minutes in
The plot just seems overdone and I'm not a big fan of the found footage w/ scientific machines used by ghost hunters in a "haunted house" genre

Open Water 2 - the trailer looked annoying and pissed me off at the thought of everyone jumping in the water without the thought of lowering a damn ladder
someone would have to get killed if i was on that boat

I watched Creep 2 the other night.
I actually really liked it.

Random horror movies to add to the thread:
"The Canal" - I liked it a lot.
"The Ritual" - Was pretty creepy but ends really abruptly. If you're willing to over look that it's worth checking out.
"Mandy" - I wouldn't necessarily classify this as horror but it has some elements in it. Was too long....2 hours when it should've been 90 minutes, tops. It is a really beautiful movie though....as a total package (visuals, sounds) it's pretty impressive.
"The Invitation" - Dope movie.
"Memoir Of A Murderer" - Korean movie about a former serial killer with Alzheimer's. Very interesting. Ending confused the fukk out of me though, maybe some of you can make sense of it.
"The Host" - Another Korean horror movie about a giant fish monster terrorizing a family. It's pretty dope.
"Inside" - Severely fukked up French horror movie about....well, just watch it. The less you know, the better.
I'll add more to the thread as I think of them.

.. I also like slasher or paranormal films (it's all mood dependent)... I tried to give you a mix of all the subgenres that were decent imo as far as found footage, I agree they overused it but it was good compared to some of the other ff that I watch. And that's the last time I recommend any movies to you.....
