Even if you do everything right there is still a decent chance you could get locked up after firing your gun.

Not worth it to give them any room for charging you with a crime. because thats their first priority. to arrest people.

as he stated Glock switches very illegal, leave them the f alone.

Crazy thing is, it's So easy to be heavily armed legally in Ohio. We don't even have to register our guns, we don't have to store them in any particular way when were at home like other states, and now you don't even need license to conceall carry. we just do a background check and done.
Plus he could've opted for a echo trigger if you care that much about rate of fire. and it would've be cheaper and easier to accomplish then finding a glock switch without getting caught.
You literally have to go out of your way to get arrested for an illegal gun charge in this state.

Am I better off waiting until I can afford the CC permit fee and a gun itself before I take those required classes?

A company on Chicago’s west side are offering free classes for November and December (you pay a small fee for the range portion) but realistically I’m not getting the aforementioned things until next year

You don't have to wait for the gun, but i would wait until you can afford the permit fee. Things have changed recently in Ohio and i don't know how it works in Chicago, but when i got my permit, we had a limited window of time between taking the class and getting our permit. If you took too long getting your permit you would have to take class again.

i looked up the laws in ur area and the training certificate's valid for 5 years (430 ilcs 66 sec 75) same as the permit itself so i'd go for it

if they have a bunch of different guns available at the classes then it's even better, you might find one you like more than what you had in mind

you take 10 attempts each at a b-27 target from 5/7/10 yards and need to make 21 hits, making people waste at least 16 hours to learn that is :stopitslime:

I recently purchased a AR15 Pistol 223/556 Custom built from a Shop in Louisiana. Shoots beautiful. If I could have only one gun for the end of the world, it would be a AR Pistol or some sort of SBR. So versatile, you can hunt with it, shoot out of a car, maneuver in tight spaces. I'm now up to 5 guns. Between me and my 4 bothers and dad. We have about 20 firearms.

I have two 9mms
Shotgun, 2 ARs
I really want to 1911 or some big handgun.

I got three. Love em. :noah:
