I live in California and the laws here are stupid. I was able to get my CCW, but besides that the gun laws here are trash. The last firearm I purchased was my S&W 686 Performance Center

Nah man... American AKs are trash or super expensive. If I need replacement parts I'll be too much of a hassle to find them.

i think at some point they're just gonna go full euro and make all pressure bearing components (bolts, barrels, stripped slides, upper receivers) gca items. they've been juelzing so much with the new frame/receiver rule and if/when it'll go into force that it's the only logical prohibitionist next step.

there's always some benefits regarding federal law, the big one that comes to mind is that you'll be able to carry in schools/while picking up your kids, barring a state law that says otherwise
