For some reason they give out lighter sentences for DUI crash deaths. I never understood why.

yup it's weird as fukk. the family who loses that loved one doesn't say hey at least it was by a drunk driver and not a gunman. the dude who killed malik sealy ain't see much time if any either.

Exact same thing happened with an idiot I know, about the same timeframe too. In his case he tried to switch seats with his wife afterwards cause he didn't want to get kicked out of the military. I think he got sentenced to 3 years and served 2.

DUI deaths should be treated like murder. ridiculous that people only do a couple years after killing somebody doing something reckless.

Her mom was a professor at my job, I used to see them all the time. The daughter was doing a story about his case and that's how they met. He has to breathalyze before his car starts
