It was in reference to him not practicing well enough to play.His coach never said he wasn’t physically ready to play
People gonna speculate that if the coach just didnt say it was only a meeting/film deal why he wasnt playing. He said he wasnt good enough in practice.
Either way thats a lot of spicy talk about someone before the game and then immediately insert once you're down 14+. It just looks odd. Travis Jay was still healthy and could have been thrown back out there.
Imo if Deion just kept it at "he's not ready" the discussion has no real life. You air the dirty laundry, point it out in every presser/tv show about not rewarding him (even directly before the game) and then once its looking like blowout city you put him out there.
Its essentially saying your girl aint shyt to all your buddies and then a couple hours later saying she's moving in with me.
You called it coddling, I think now they're both in a space where he can accept the hard coaching, be punished in other ways if he messes up and it helps the team. Glad we finally here
