He needs to redshirt. Two things

1. If he is good it works out because he's learning the offense and will be ready to go next season. He'll also be able to play in some games also to get experience.

2. Worst case scenario if he is a bust they don't lose the whole season. They can look for another QB. But I don't see this scenario happening.

Love the Kaidon pickup, one way to help the run game is to have a QB that posses a threat to the defense with his legs. If they can just get his fumble problem in order he's going to be a great vet for the squad. As far as Juju he'll be alright... If Arch Manning can wait so can he....on the flipside....if he beats Kaidon out...in the spring it will be clear that the kid is a stud.

This is a good pickup.

I wouldn’t make that assumption. Prime lives in the present, and is a “right now” type of guy.

If he feels Juju gives him the best chance to win right now, he’s going to play.

I also don’t think Prime (or any coach nowadays) is looking to redshirt anyone considering they could be gone the next year. However, I’m sure the kid has a team to manage his best interest, and would insist on redshirting if he’s not playing much in year 1.

I like the set up though. Kaidon and then transition to Juju who should inherit an even better team.

I'm going to say that game really pissed me off. If they won they were in the PAC 12. I really wanted Shedeur and Hunter to be in the playoffs.
