I think Deion hinted last week when he said if we bring in freshman we expect them to play, but building through the portal is smart as hell to build the base of a team quickly.
If you pay attention to how they've been playing, all of the basics have gotten a LOT better through out the season, you can see the defensive line maintain integrity while getting pressure. You can see the offensive line genuinely blocking a TON better. I think Deion would much rather turn into Colorado's Saban than be the "next" person at another big school. He clearly fukks with the folks in Boulder and they're going to give him basically free reign to do whatever he wants with the money they've printed since he's been there.
