There were only 3 of us that knew what Colorado had on paper and could actually contend. The 3 of us just said coaching needed to play the right people and clean a few things up. The rest of the poster said Colorado would be trash in the big 12. Colorado should not have dropped the 2 games but it is what is. They must win out and let the rest of the big 12 cannibalize itself. I think Buffs are learning to gel still but are getting close to what they could be.
Things turned around when Deion started coaching to win and not stat pad for Shadeur and Travis.

Funny thing is, you can see the maturity with the players and with Deion and staff, sometimes physically.

Deion not doing all of that rhyming and being a politician. Even when they have folks around, he's not really greeting them like that. Just super focused.

Everyone looks more focused and locked in on a bigger goal.

Yeah like someone else said, he has grown a lot as a coach. Even after they won last week, he was pissed at how they closed the game. Last year he woulda been talking about who should win the Heisman and playing his theme music. He is focused and it is a reflection of how the team is playing.

Well, too be fair, I think he was assuming these guys could manage themselves and handle the pressure and expectations.

He was expecting everyone to match his energy and cult of personality.

By the time he realized that wouldn't be the case it was already off the rails.

This is a key point.

I always said that if they focused more on running the ball, Shedeur would get his yards anyway, organically, with less throwing attempts. This turned out to be true. Throwing 95 percent of the time had Prime’s fingertips all over it.

Now, the last component is being willing to take Shilo out of the game when he underperforms. Just think about this, if he doesn’t play against K-State, they possibly win that game.

Shilo should have never played but this isn’t true. A running back getting yardage ain’t on a safety. That d line and line backers. Safety should never be in an open field tackle situation with a running back. Safeties will lose that majority of the time.

They’re not running the same oline pieces and running backs. Also, I don’t think Pat had run packages due to how they got their backs. Remember Pat created schemes around Dylan. I think this is why we’re starting to see the run open up (outside of not having Rudy in there).

Sheduer was 25/30 323 2 td’s and 1 rushing td. So yeah, it’s definitely paying off. I k ew from jump Isaiah Augustave was going be a dawg. Dude a walking 5 yards a carry. When they fully gel he will be the best back in the Big 12

I’m not even sure what you’re trying to rebuttal here.

Prime has to be willing to take Shilo out of a game when he is underperforming. I stand by that. I know he’s not the sole reason for their lost to K-State.

In addition, Prime has always preferred having the ball ”in Shedeur’s hands.” These are facts, and he’s stated that many times in his press conferences. That’s fine, but you still gotta run the ball.

Throwing the ball 99% was not a Lewis or Shumur thing, it’s a Prime thing, At some point, he realized that it’s gotta be a real priority, and now they’re running it 30 plus times a game.

That KSU loss was just so bad in retrospect....that team just isn't that good and coming off a bye week I couldn't believe how sleepy CU looked.... They should have ran it up on them nikkas...even with Trav and them out...such a missed opportunitiy to control your own destiny

Things turned around when they got better talent....the history rewriting to save face from all of the idiotic takes from last year that's going to go on with this team is going to be hilarious...I saw Paul Finebaum trying to do this same shyt...talking about Deion has finally gotten outta the way like I told him too and that's what they're successful now :mjlol:

I’m saying it’s not a Shilo thing because I can list several players he keeps in that played awful the entire game. I think it’s how he coaches and not because it’s his son. Also, Shilo wasn’t the reason they loss the game but he played awful .

I suggest you watch them SDSU games. Sean Lewis has been play calling just like last year. You can watch the last SDSU as well too. Sean Lewis is an awful play caller. Now, I agree with Pat philosophy is to run a more than they have. I also know that they hadn’t been set on their rb’s, which was insane. They have weird practice requirements to gain starting reps.

Also, it’s not fact that Prime prefer throwing more than running. Look at them JSU rushing yards. They ran the ball a lot there.

Not really interested in going back and forth. I am a supporter of Prime/CU, but there’s reasons to be critical.

Shilo specifically should not be starting at all.

Sean Lewis runs the ball the more at SDSU than he did during his tenure as OC with the buffs. Of course it’s the same offense, but he does run the ball more.

Shedeur had no chance of winning the heisman at Jackson State.
