Most of these players have no long term ties to Colorado. A lot of the haven't even been their for a full calendar year. And for some of them, this is their last game. They probably check out mentally weeks ago. fukk em.

Prime is going to really have to build through recruiting like everyone else, to at least build team pride. This roster turnover through the portal aint working. Most of these players are hand me down, special teams 3rd string ass nikkas.

you can't say that the portal isnt working when it's been barely a year in. that being said I do agree CU shouldnt be OVERLY dependent on it. I think you will see their HS recruiting increase yearly as they actually build relationships.

Solid start on the rebuild… gotta go get some guys in that portal now and get that defense right because it was a joke all season pretty much and it put way too much pressure on the offense to be perfect …DT’s / ILB,s / Safety… right up the middle of the defense needs to be revamped

It damn near worked though.

With the exception of two games, Prime’s 40/40/20 model pretty much put together a roster that was competitive in every game. With better coaching, they would have likely been a bowl team.

They definitely need to hit the trenches hard this off season.

Players usually follow the lead of their head coach

That would be Travis Hunter, Shedeur and a few other players.

The rest haven't been under him for a full season. A lot of them weren't there during the spring either. It just wasn't enough time.

Interior lineman and linebacker is the hardest positions to fill. Getting quality players through the transfer portal is damn near impossible.

Unless there is a coaching change at that school, those players aren't leaving. And as you can see this year, the ones who do aren't good enough to be starters. I think he relied heavily on the portal because he at least wanted to be better than 1-11 which he was able to do. But long-term success is going to have to come the old-fashioned way.

It worked at Jackson St. because the level of competition was lower. You can bring in mediocre FBS players and dominate FCS schools. But at the FBS level, that's not going to work. Especially at a power 5 program. But this was needed. I think Prime will learn from this season and adjust accordingly.

at this point the biggest concern IMO is the upcoming coaching changes. The sooner the better I think

Prime only had a few months to assemble this current team and they were competitive in most games. I can't wait to see who they get to commit for next season.
