They should have used Jace Feely for that long kick.
I had to head out the crib right after the Mata miss so I missed the end of the game but why did they call TO right before the Mata attempt? They looked lined up and I don't remember the play clock running down, how do you call a TO on your own team? Mata already shaky as it is for any kick over 42 yds.
The play clock was running down so Prime had to call a timeout. According to Neely, Jace Feely was hurt in the locker room nursing an injury that occurred on a kickoff so he was unavailable.i think they were about to go for it on 4th and backed out but it was definitely terrible move.
Damn they’ve been missing out on all of the little breaks they were catching earlier this year …close but no cigar several times …Jace probably has the keg to knock that inThe play clock was running down so Prime had to call a timeout. Watched the press conference and when Prime was questioned on the coaching decisions he deflected blame back on the players.
Listen tot his shyt.
Let me show you. Its called the leader taking ACCOUNTABILITY.you need to start listening to other coaches pressers if you had a problem with this tbh …don’t know any coach that kisses his players asses after a loss

Yeah and you can see why he has a top 3 recruiting class every year. Leaders lead, not point fingers and deflect. That interview is a total masterclass as you said.Ol' Nick with a masterclass for Prime and the Primettes

We played way too soft at the end to let them go down the field and get in field goal range," Saban said, per ESPN's Alex Scarborough. "So, I think that the big thing that our players need to do is learn from this experience, have more respect for playing with discipline so you don't help the other team."
Now, we were playing with guys that typically didn’t have to play at those positions. The lesson to be learned is there were 3 guys, and I’m not calling out any names, that basically didn’t do the things they needed to do throughout the season because they were frustrated with their circumstance. … They’re frustrated with their circumstance because they’re not playing as much as they want to. They’re outcome oriented, they want to worry about how many balls they catch or how much playing time they get or whatever it is. So they don’t focus every day on being a complete player at their position, and they don’t work in practice and prepare for the games because they say to themselves, ‘Why should I do this? I’m not gonna play anyway
So, we had 3 guys, they all had a significant role in the national championship game, and not 1 of them, not 1, could take advantage of the opportunity that they had, because they never ground through it. They never made themselves the best player they could be. When they got the opportunity, they couldn’t do it. That’s a lesson for everybody. What comes first? Playing time? Or making sure that you’re ready to play and create value for yourself when you get the opportunity?”
Interestingly, Saban did not comment on his role or his staff’s role in preparing the young players.
