We need to have a thread to chronicle and discuss CNN's descent into the madness that is right wing politics. With the townhall they aired with Trump last night, it's evident that they're signaling to the crazy fringes on the far right that they want to be their new station of choice.

It is my belief that going right wing will trigger the downfall of CNN. I don't know how, but I believe it's going to happen if they keep going the way they're going.

Obviously the firing of Lemon was symbolic.

It was legit the final ending of era.

Cable news is dying though, so they’re trying pivot for the faux news crowd.

However where are people under 42 getting their news from it’s not the newspaper or cable news.

That’s where media should really be pivoting and trying to capture. That task is easier said then done.

I was listening to a segment from Valuetainment(conservative leaning version of TYT), and even they embraced the firing of Tucker as the downward spiral of cable news as well, the inevitable downfall of faux.

Take my right as you want.

I’m interested in hearing @Godless Liberal CEO and @88m3

Trump is the leading presidential candidate. You're not going to censor him. I have no problem with CNN giving him a town hall. I don't like the format but they didn't do anything wrong by "platforming" a president. Dems should be asking Biden to do one.

The problem lies in how CNN is starting to frame things and their behind the scenes directives.

You knew what was coming when they got Wallace from Fox. You got smirconish on the weekends pretending he’s not conservative.

Anderson is the last stand. When they get him outta there it’s over.
Let’s also face the reality cable news is dying.

The younger generation ain’t really watching cnn.

I haven’t watched cable news in years. At least not on cable I might see like snippet here and there on YouTube but those aren’t my go to news sources.

I’m willing to bet a long of younger people are the same way. So big picture wise cnn is trying pivot to take more of faux market share, but we know faux’s market share is aging and they’ll eventually have an aging problem.

People forget CNN was kinda pro right in the early 2000s. They’re just coming back around to it 20 years later.
