you dont need an external power source. you can use the usb port on your tv to charge the device

so it run off battery and need to be charge from time to time?

using the wifi and my tablet its excellent

I can confirm the same. Looks like I'm looking at my DirectTV feed.... No lag or anything

It doesnt have a battery, it has to either be plugged with the ac adapter or usb in the back of your tv

When the capability to stream from Chrome on my desktop starts working...will I be able to stream from a desktop that doesn't use wifi? I mean it's hooked up through the wireless router but it's hard wired but wouldn't it be like the same thing?

long as your connected to the same network it doesnt matter if the connection is hardwired or wifi

why not its about to be way more than what it is now. Its running chromeOS. you can mirror games thats on your tablet = gaming

Just got my email that my order is ready for pickup at a best buy 2 hours away.

Luckily someone at work lives 10 minutes away from there and I knew that before placing the order.
