Bout to eat good off this 3 months of Netflix... I just needed a Netflix device so I won't have to use my PS3 and this fit the bill... Hope this shyt works well for that...

If the streaming from chrome is fixed soon, this will be dope for those days where I need to stream stuff to the TV and use my laptop at the same time...

I just got home with mine. It's nice addition to home theater. Video quality isn't really all that. Only 3 apps for it as far it so far (netflix, youtube, google movies.... so I guess only 2) easy to set u. Works quicker than I thought it would.

Things I noticed...

You can start a video on your tablet and turn the tablet off and it will still be playing.

It does charge from the tv usb port so that's confirmed.

It comes with an hdmi extension dongle.

If they ever get plex on there. The game is over.

I felt like a boss at Bestbuy just now. Dudes went from what's a chromecast. We got chromebooks to when i explained it and hooked it up to the tv toall that for $35!


Im going to keep it.

Edit: Google Play Music works.... I roll with Spotify though...... I'm about to try my laptop hooked up to the chromecast

Already a Netflix subscriber, so I redeemed the code today and got 3 months free. So I essentially "saved" $24 bucks I was going to pay anyway, thus the device actually cost me around 12 bucks.

Not bad. Once the Chrome streaming is optimized I'm going to feast on it.
