I think it was something like they had to save the developments where the cost to renovate was less than the cost to tear down. Which is why Dearborn along with the Ickes were renovated instead of demolished.

Places like Lathrop and Marshall Field Gardens in Lincoln Park and Old Town had historic preservation designations put on them so they can't tear those down. It's white people in Lathrop now.

Speaking of, Mexicans and Colombians are moving into Lowden Homes on 95th St. near Trinity UCC. Couldn't believe it. Mexicans have moved over into my great grandparents old neighborhood on the other side of the Ryan around 91st and Michigan/Indiana in Chatham.

I seen Mexicans over near 74th and Racine. They basically got the green light to move into all the historic black neighborhoods and projects on the south side now.

We done.

If there is not a concerted effort now to buy up at least the commerical property and keep the businesses black owned, it's over for black Chicago. Hispanics about to take over the south side and push the black south siders further out to the south suburbs. And even there, they moving in...places like South Holland, Lansing...they've already taken over Burnham, Harvey and Chicago Heights. shyts crazy.

To be fair, a lot of those neighborhoods they moving into, they cleaning up. Like West Englewood for example. So I can't say too much. We don't even take care of the shyt we got to be complaining.

thats exactly what they're doing.

I was cool with this cat that was doing the wholesaling houses thing.

one of his clients was this little Mexican man in a pickup truck.

Buddy was buying fukked up buildings and houses all over the west and south sides.

I went to one spot with him in Englewood...
...building was torn up but he still bought it.

when he was done he would move his people in.

its crazy to watch because you see how shyt gets done...
...its not complicated.
You just need folks that want to play their role.
