This is what I don't understand. Just a few years ago, there was a round of allegations, one after the other, of priest involved in sexual abuse, nationwide and here in Chicago. Why wasn't the allegations brought up then? This is suspect.
Nah, the Catholic diocese wouldn't do that. Sabina is a bustling black parish, so they would make sure that leadership is what the parish wants.
The only time they would put a priest in place that did not mirror the parish or the needs of the parish is if the parish is dying and they need to keep it afloat like at St. Colombanus or St. Anselms.
Plus they've already named the new head priest.
