looks like these churches are about to open. they said :ucku: to pritzker and mama lightfoot.

Coronavirus Chicago: Willie Wilson voices support for 100 churches to reopen Sunday in defiance of stay-at-home order
Wilson is a piece of shyt. First he wanted to sell masks to the government (likely at increased prices) but then when Lightfoot told him to shove it, he suddenly became a saint and started handing them out to the public. Now he turns around and wants to defy the shutdown order. Breh already came out and basically said he voted for Trump so it isn't surprising.

Wow. Community already the one disproportionately dying, and now he thinks its a good idea to bring what will end up being the most vulnerable population (older ppl) in one place.

But hey at least you get to "stick it to the man!"

just goes to show you that church isn't above risking its own congregation to get that money in the collection plate.

He's fukking slime. He only enters the mayoral race to split the black vote. Pretty sure his bum ass is being paid by Republicans.

This shyt seems like propaganda. I'm pretty sure he's being put on by Republicans again trying to open up the state but want to make it look like black people want it too.

I have no reason to believe the many black churches here are trying to open up and put their congregations at risk. Even with our mega-churches, Chicago pastors are not reckless like that.

Wilson is a fukking agent working on behalf of Republicans.

I'm definitely not a republican, and the reason I support opening up the state is cuz there are too many black people who are unable to work, and I want them to be at least allowed to provide for themselves and they family while the gov't is sitting around with their finger up they ass.

now if the gov't starts cutting those checks for everyone, then I got no problem with the stay at home order. but until then, they need to STFU.

to be honest bro if you’re a Black person working customer service/warehouse/manufacturing or any job that isn’t able to be done from home etc you’re better off collecting unemployment right now. Many of those jobs are gone forever. They’re not coming back even if we “reopen” the economy (a term I absolutely despise bc it assumes there is some huge unmet demand that will explode soon as shelter in place is withdrawn). If we “reopen” the economy, many companies will still refuse to open up bc they don’t want the liability.

I also know people who work for the airlines and for a time share company who got fukked over due to their profession and they had pretty good paying jobs.

No doubt. But the shelter in place rules being withdrawn wouldn't really change their situation bc vast majority of ppl doing it are doing so voluntarily. If ppl are worried/afraid of getting infected they're not going to travel anyways. But I definitely get where you (and others) are coming from. I think for me it's moreso b/c I've been expecting some massive economic calamity to begin with, whether covid happened or not. Ppl just don't realize how fundamentally weak our economy has been for quite some time.

shyt is crazy though. Last weekend I was going to go to walmart to get some wood pellets/charcoal and other BBQ shyt and there was a line forming outside. Parking lot was so full looked like just any other busy weekend.

If I were among the powers that be, I'd focus an insane amount of time/effort/money on the antibody testing. Knowing whether you've already been infected is a game changer, even moreso than the spot tests for whether people are currently infected.

Almost all businesses in Indiana are open....at 50% capacity.

I drove past an outdoor drive-in eatery and families were sitting at picnic tables getting their eat on like it was nothing.

can't help but to stay in the crib when damn near every business is closed as well as a lot of the parks and the beach.

as for travel, unless ur going somewhere domestically like to a state that open (georgia/texas) there's really no point in traveling
