Monster snowstorm possible this week for Chicago area: Up to 15 inches

The weatherman was straight send off status.

Weather forecast went from 15 inches, to 6-12 inches to 1-6 inches to maybe 3 inches.

My boss done told me to work from home if the weather was bad and everything smh

Same stuff I have read a number of times. But Chicago is gonna eventually end up like NYC where its a playground for only the wealthy. The problem with Chicago is that there aren't jobs in the areas where most of the black people live.

Chicago won't be like NYC because there is way more space. They are more likely to continue building up the north side and downtown than going heavily into the south and west sides.

Not the point...there's a little more space landwise but the main issue is greed

Even in hip areas like Logan Square and the near west side, they are building studios and 1bedrooms for damn near 2K....even white ppl can't afford that shyt.

The main problem is taxes....property taxes in Cook County are high as shyt....the population will keep decreasing

All the white ppl I know have moved to Nashville, St Louis or Portland
All the black folk went down south, mostly to ATL...some to Phoenix for some reason

Wake up and smell the coffee this is happening everywhere and the black folks leaving aren’t going to another city. They are usually going to a suburb next to a city.

Atlanta the biggest example of this. My cousins daughter is living with room mates in the actual city of Atlanta because of the high rents there in the city limits.

looking at google views the black communities in the south and west side look like they have more space.

Property taxes are high in Cook county. But in the city, they aren't bad. Mine have actually gone down 50% in the past five years.

I just got my new bill for the spring and it's once again significantly lower than last year. The city is scheduled to be reassessed next year, so I could get fukked then.
