Primo Center -

Not just a women and children’s shelter. They take men too and specifically those that can’t get into a shelter anywhere else. Also has a number of services to help you get back on your feet. Multiple locations, main headquarters is in Englewood on 63rd behind the new Whole Foods.

I’m on the board of a non-profit that is affiliated with each of these organizations. They are open, non-judgmental, and ask no questions. Everyone is welcome. If you are in need of some services, definitely check them out.

Damn, shyts been rough. And here I am thinking I got it bad getting fitted for a tux after I put on a few pounds and having to rent a Jaguar XKE so I can fake stunt on Chicago’s black bourgieocracy when they all converge for an annual Winter Ball on the 26th.
Which ball is this?

Jack and Jill types?

Pretty much.
The Chicago Assembly has been around since like the 40's. My uncle was a past president. It's one of a couple of social clubs for black men in the city.

Member Organizations - Coalition of African American Leaders - Pretty much every successful black man in the city, who maintains ties to the black community, belongs to one of these organizations, if you also include the BGLOs.

Pics from prior events

It be some fine bytches breh........
