What a great fight. Matthysse did a pretty good job boxing (although he needs to learn to cut the ring off with quicker fighters). I had Matthysse winning every round other than the 2 he got knocked down in, his jab and left was really active and Molina needed to throw more punches.
Molina looks great at 140. This could be a better weight class for him. Looks strong.
And some people I think are going to start underrating Matthysse's chin. Molina is a big puncher and Matthysse never really looked hurt, stunned for a second by a clean hard punch, but never had that look like he was in any trouble.

I think this fight will make maKNEEsay even more of a threat. he needed this war. I was worried he might fold after getting knocked down, but you can tell he just said fukk it. he knew he had nothing to lose and just went all out. it brought out the best in him.

I want that Garcia-Matthysse rematch.
And count me as one of the guys who had Matthysse up 4-2, 5-1, until his eye started to close, and I had Garcia winning a close 1 or 2 pt fight.

Garcia doesn't owe it to Matthysse...but there is no one at 140 who deserves or would make a better fight with Garcia than Matthysse.
