People saying promoters killed boxing? Nah, it’s really simple; the fans did, it is bootlegged to the point that it isn’t as much of a commodity anymore.

Boxing pre my time would be on broadcast TV, and then in the tyson ppv era you had fight parties and the likes.

The streaming wars forced networks to relook at how they invest because creating your own backlog of NEW content is insanely expensive. Boxing isnt a sport with healthy profit margins in addition to people rightfully wanting good pay days to risk their life.

Its more of a perfect storm situation than one thing did it in. Its why when Showtime pulled out I was communicating this yet people were so fixed on PBC killed boxing thats why Showtime bushed em, when we see TR in the same position now with ESPN.

I've said it before....turki didn't do anything to kill boxing...it took decades of fans accepting anything to put it in the state it is in..boxing phased off network tv, ppv, premium networks, fighters not fighting like they should, promotional fukkery.. no one wanted to gatekeep boxing for the good of the sport.. this is why we have influencer boxing, jake paul being a thing, Saudi influx...reap what you sow

Hagler had quite a few impressive fights but this one really stands out to me and really took my respect for him to another level. This was a tough fight but Marvin would not have it any other way.

thats my thing and it shows the hypocrisy of these nikkas. This is why they be on hush because I kept my foot on their necks.

I will say the one thing that upset me the most about PBC was everybody on their team pulling that A-side talk. That stood out to me the most. Like when Thurman said that shyt.

My one critique was dude's got paid and then got really lazy and coasted on PBC or got an inflated self-worth dealing with Floyd advisor.

Outside of that these promoters all fukked over the fans and no ones hands were clean

Not sure about picked apart, yeah Hagler prevailed BUT Mugabi gave Hagler all he could handle and took something out of him imo, even though this fight faded Mugabi to a larger degree

- he openly dogs a guy for winning on points
- a guy can't fight out his contract
- he has a preferred company man winning a belt. You saw that this weekend at UFC 313.
