Tyson up until the point he goes to jail gets Evander out of there. That particular Tyson had no quit/fold up in his programming/was able to sustain long durations of damage if needed.

i do agree...dude was coming off taking 12 rounds of "smashes" from razor ruddock..the only x factor was if the punishment from those fights would have affected him if he fought holyfield in 91

Saw that fight live. Most haunting fight ever. Gerald was my favorite fighter at the time. Was a dirty fight and ref kept letting Benn rabbit punch. Slanted ass fight.

I've only watched that fight once. When shyt like that happens, where it seems the ref is deliberately being obtuse, jail time should be on the table.

SRL was def a dog...that second fight with Hearns was the last time he did show that because he was lowkey finished after that one

You could tell he didn't have his legs in the second fight but he still scrapped it out.

I've always thought that version of Tyson would've hurt & gotten Holyfield out of there with one of his signature uppercuts (the punch he was most susceptible to) His warrior mentality might've been his undoing against that version of Tyson

you can tell the game changed with regards to turnarounds for when boxers fight after taking severe punishment

benn took a really severe beating in that g-man win but he was back in the ring within 5 months; fundora absorbed a severe beating from tim tszyu and its going to be 13 months give or take when he fights next

see, I feel how you feel but when i brought this up on a forum when it happened, some fukkin people from the U.K. tried to say McClellan was a dirty fighter and even went as far to say he sort of deserved it because he was trash talking in the lead-up. smdh. I had to get the fukk outta that forum.

Sparred for the first time today, got my shyt rocked getting punched in the nose repeatedly wasn't as bad I thought it would be. I knew I didn't know enough to defend myself yet but still glad I did it.

I remember my first time sparring. I just knew cuz was going to throw a jab first like every sparring session and fight in history. He did a faint jab and went to the body, felt like I levitated above the ring I wanted to go to the trunk on his ass, but I survived
