@ChocolateGiddyUp shyt is all set in chicago for that dazn card..ticket prices arent bad

Eddie Hearn and Matchroom Boxing USA are delighted to confirm the line-up for the first American show live on DAZN at the Wintrust Arena in Chicago on October 6.

World-rated Welterweight and former two-weight World champion Jessie Vargas headlines the bill as he targets World honours in a third weigh class, and Vargas’ journey to that goal starts against former World Super-Lightweight World title challenger Thomas Dulorme, the Puerto Rican looking to derail the Las Vegas man’s ambitions at 147lbs.

Two great World title battles feature in the Windy City as crunching Russian puncher Artur Beterbiev defends his IBF World Light-Heavyweight strap against Briton Callum Johnson. Beterbiev has a perfect record of 12-0 with all wins coming via KO, but Johnson is an unbeaten feared puncher himself, having destroyed British champion Frank Buglioni inside a round of their clash in London in March – his 12th KO from 17 wins, pointing to this clash being one that promises to be a ferocious shootout.

Classy WBA World Super-Bantamweight champion Daniel Roman defends his crown for the third time against Britain’s Gavin McDonnell. Roman won his title on the road in Japan in brilliant style with a stoppage win over Shun Kobo and was fantastic in both his first defence back in Japan against Ryo Matsumoto and his second against Moises Flores in California. The Californian is hunting unification clashes but will need to be at his best once again against McDonnell, the Doncaster ace having his second crack World honours having learnt so much in his majority decision loss against WBC champion Rey Vargas in February 2017 – making for a fascinating clash that could catch fire and steal the show.

Heavyweight boxing is as hot as it’s ever been right now, and Brooklyn’s Jarrell Miller is right in the mix for the big fights. ‘Big Baby’ is looking to add win number 22 to his slate and force himself into the conversation at the top table, and the man in his way is Poland’s Tomasz Adamek, the former two-weight World champion who picked up and defended the Polish title in his last two fights in his homeland.

Along with these World stars, Chicago fight fans will be able to back two of their own on the night, with former World Lightweight title challenger Jessica McCaskill in action on the bill along with unbeaten Bantamweight prospect Shawn Simpson.

Tickets for October 6 go on sale at 3pm (CT) today (August 8) priced $40, $60, $100 and $200 and are available from:

Online at Ticketmaster: Matchroom Boxing USA at Wintrust Arena on Oct 06, 2018 Phone: (312)791-6900

Danny has a hell of a resume this day and age. I mean I don’t really get why he has a reputation of cherrypicking. Probably based off the Herrera fight .
He does have big names that were passed there prime but he also has good fighters that were prime too, that Herrera fight was a loss tbh

Mikey Garcia N Adrien Broner the two biggest fights at 140 for Crawford... N never was even attempted to be made
you mixed up the timeline a little :heh:

Mikey Garcia was making his comeback in 135 when Crawford had his unification fight with Postol

Then he moved into 140 first (the Broner fight) just 3 weeks before Crawford became undisputed and then he moved up as he said he will for months already. Oh and we heard some comments since from Mikey's side which suggests they are not really looking at a Crawford fight. Add that it seems like he's so content on not fighting TR guys that he jumps up to fight Spence instead of taking on Loma in 135, a fight which would make a lot more sense.

And c'mon now with Broner... :mjlol: Struggled and arguably lost to Granados, struggled and drew with Jessie Vargas, lost easily to Mikey but I suppose to believe he'd be some big test for Crawford? nah... Crawford beat the clear #2 ranked guy in the division twice whatever what you think of those guys.

Yall like to criticize Crawford's 135 and 140 resume when he didn't have great competition in those weightclasses but why Swift is in 147 for 3 years now and his list of wins are washed Paulie, washed Guerrero, Samuel Vargas and washed Rios?

y'all still bragging about what Swift did in 140, 5 years ago while you ignore how :smugfavre: his 147 resume is and not even because politics cause he's on the same side as most big names in the division. He only had one fight against good opponents in 147 in 3 years and 5 fights and he lost that one easily. Now he will improve this to 2 out of 6. You need to stop focusing on hating on Bud and root for your man to have his first good win at 147 after 3 years and 6 fights.

I like y'all Swift fans too it's not that but sometimes I feel you are really out of touch with reality with your hating on Crawford bringing up all the time what your guy did 5 years ago only focusing on his past glory days, ignoring what he has done since... There is a reason why in 2018 Crawford is there on every P4P lists and Swift is not there on any of them.

If what they're saying is true then the winner of Porter vs Swift will meet Spence (or Mikey if he somehow makes it), I'm sure Crawford gonna wait for whoever comes out winner of that down the line.

What Swift did 5 years ago and now >> What Bud did 5 years ago and the shyt he doing now.

One guy is about to fight Porter while the other guy fought jeff fukking horn. :heh:

One guy's list of wins at 140 include.....****, Khan, Judah, Matthysse, and PED:mjgrin:

While the other guy's list of wins at 140 include......Some guy, some other guy, oh yeah Postol and Indongo :mjlol:

Bud is at the top of p4p lists due to weight jumps and longevity of dominance against solid, but non threatening opponents. :manny:

If Spence would have gotten his best wins in different weight classes (Brook, PED, Algieri) as opposed to getting them all in one division, he'd prolly be p4p top 3 since those guys are better than the majority of the names on Bud resume.

You can't live forever from what you did 5 years ago though... Swift had the opportunity to prove himself in 147 during the 3 years he was there. Unlike for Crawford, politically it was ideal for him that all the other top names were with Showtime... He fought one of them only out of 5 fights he fought washed up guys and Samuel Vargas on the rest 4 of them. And that one fight he had against a legit top 147er he lost easily. Besides that he didn't even look all that impressive against the past prime fighters he fought... Crawford looked way better against dudes who were around that level. So at this point I really don't give a fukk that he beat Matthysse 5 years ago. :yeshrug:

One guy is about to fight Porter on his 6th fight in 147 after he spent 3 years here already, Crawford had 1 fight in 147 so far and just moved up months ago

I still don't look down on Postol as much as some of you guys do, Crawford made him look silly but he stopped Matthysse and I never bought into the narrative that the close decision loss Matthysse took to Garcia destroyed him so much that this was the reason that he lost to Postol. I always found that a BS no matter how much ppl telling me about the John Molina fight... that risk was always in Matthysse's style, never been someone who has a good defense.

Agree with you regarding the P4P list and Crawford...Point is that the majority of people think Terence Crawford is a better fighter than Danny Garcia, it is what it is, whether Swift fans like it or not.

And I'm sure Crawford gonna fight at least one of these dudes, at least the one who comes out victorious out of Porter, Swift, Spence and Mikey (add maybe Thurman too :mjcry:) I don't think that the Showtime side gonna push for a Crawford fight any earlier than that... and I also think Arum won't push for it, for once because he likes in-house shyt and for twice because he'd rather wait for it to play out before. But if it all goes according to the plan that moment might come as early as next year...

im glad t-craw is talking some sense...that lets me know he is operating with the same mentality i have regarding divisions..and i said over and over this was a negative that dany didnt unify 140 like he should have unlike t-craw....i said it would look better overall that crawford cleaned up a division like he did before moving on...it was mindblowing to me danny could have had added the IBF belt against peterson and they made it a non title affair at WW instead of a 3 belt unification..it also didnt help that I and the majority thought he lost that fight too lol
