It should've... the 140 guy didn't outweigh Khan by 20+ pounds in a division Khan had no business in :russ:

Hey, career high paydays come with career worst KOs.....

:hubie:

N let's not forget that GBP Nick Patrick Ref that gave Khan a 20 count to give him another round of eating unnecessary punches...Canelo stans should be thanking the 140 guy for softening up that chin even more

Without that Khan may have made it all 12 against Canelo:Smugswift:

Canelo had to get adjusted to the speed of Khan.....he's never faced someone who punches as fast before:manny:

Once he timed him, it was over. A Swift stan should know all about being slower than Khan, so Khan starts out winning the fight until the slower opponents gets used to the timing and ends the fight with a KO over Khan :yeshrug:

If you can withstand those Canelo bombs, but have enough energy to press him effectively when he tries to rest and charge up for another Balrog combo, your chances of beating him just went up 30%

or

If you can jab and move effectively like Cotto/Lara did in spots your chances of beating Canelo go up about 30%

If you can mix both together, you would prolly kick Canelo's ass. :manny:

I see Chavez Jr prolly being able to do the 1st approach pretty effectively, but we'll see. Fights ain't won on paper or message boards.

The 1st fight is already being dismissed:mjgrin:

No one can legitimately hold losing a SD to the overweight Champion in your 2nd professional fight, a fight where the Champion had to constantly low blow and barely hung on to survive the fight, against Lomachenko....especially when Loma has went on to easily outclass 4 prime Champions over his last 7 fights.:manny:

Yall can keep saying it, but nobody any of us like as a fighter would've beaten a current Champion in their 2nd fight. There's a reason no one in history was able to do so, so holding it against Loma is :yeshrug: to me.

Is GRJ ever gonna call for his rematch though?:mjpls:

Shouldn't have taken the fight if it wasn't ready for SaliGOAT :troll:.

Danny Garcia rated #1 by the WBC following Keith Thurman clash

Former two-weight WBC title holder Danny Garcia has been placed in the prime position to land a rematch with Keith Thurman either immediately or sometime in the near future.

Garcia lost his belt to Thurman in a massive unification in New York last month, but due to his past excellence as a World Boxing Council champion, the 29 year-old occupies the number one spot in the new WBC Ratings for April.

The decision would certainly be attributed to how closely matched Garcia and Thurman were in terms and guile and skill, potentially leading to early speculation the WBC would be willing to sanction a return.

Number three-rated Andre Berto and Shawn Porter are set to battle it out for the mandatory position on April 22, giving Garcia a couple more weeks to state his case to WBC President Mauricio Sulaiman for a second chance.

Once the dust settles on the Berto v Porto bout, Garcia faces been pushed back to the number two, which in turn would see current second placed Amir Khan drop down the pecking order even further.

Khan announced his decision not to seek out another fight until the completion of the Ramadan festival during May and June, meaning the Briton looks likely to be out until at least October.

There had been some talk of a possible Khan v Garcia rematch until the Bolton man made his plans clear on Monday, leaving ‘Swift’ with few options for any comeback fight in the summer.

Garcia may go after Lamont Peterson in his bid to win another version of the 147 strap, although Thurman himself has also been linked to facing 'King Pete' who represents his own mandatory with the WBA.

WBC Top 15 at welterweight:

1 .- Danny Garcia (US)
2 .- Amir Khan (GB)
3 .- Shawn Porter (US)
4 .- Andre Berto (US)
5 .- Timothy Bradley (US)
6 .- Jessie Vargas (US)
7 .- Konstantin Ponomarev (Russia) NABF
8 .- Adrien Broner (US)
9 .- Carlos Molina (Mexico)
10 .- Qudratillo Abduqaxorov (Uzbekistan) SILVER
11 .- Sam Eggington (GB) INTL
12 .- Ray Robinson (US)
13 .- Ceferino Rodriguez (Spain) EBU
14 .- Cesar Miguel Barrionuevo (Argentina)
15 .- Charles Manyuchi (Zimbabwe)

It's okay, sometimes daring to be great results in only you coming close, failing, and coming back even better:sas1:

Which is why he's outclassed 4 Champions in his last 7 fights:wow:

:what:
Wasn't Porter vs Berto suppose to be for the WBC mandatory?

Porter vs Thurman was better and more competitive I'd rather see that again in this year than Swift vs Thurman. Danny should build himself back first.
