Canelo Smiles: What Jacobs Did To Golovkin - I Can Do Much More!

“We — my camp and I — already knew what kind of fighter [Golovkin] was. We knew these things the media and the world are just seeing now,” Canelo said to the Los Angeles Times. “To us, it’s nothing new. Same ol’ thing.”

“What Danny Jacobs did, I can do much more on that fight night. Golovkin’s style is [one] that he doesn’t know how to go backwards. He doesn’t know how to fight from the outside. He’s very powerful and strong, but he only knows how to fight on the inside. If you’re in front of him, he’s going to get you. But if you’re around him, giving him a hard time … there’s so many ways to beat him,” Canelo said.

Breh I don't think I've ever seen a fighter who's power was overrated as much as canelo

Outweighed Khan by 32 pounds N still took 7 rounds to drop him :mjlol:

Angulo was fainting on his way to the ring N Canelo still couldn't hurt him :hhh:

Manny N Lil Floyd hurt Cotto worse :dwillhuh:

Went 10 rds with the nikka beefy who didn't even spar during training :beli:

As big as he is u would think he would have great(special) power but for his size he looks to have average power.

You really believe this??

Obviously it was an exaggeration

The facts are a 135 nikka N a 140 nikka hurt Khan N got him out of there a lot faster

Then the supposed red headed 160 mike Tyson :beli:

The biggest fighter khan ever fought N it took 7 rds :dead:...If his power was such a force that mere mortals crumble jus watching his training videos like the cinnamon toast crunch crew claim... Canelo wouldn't be going 10 rds with a dad bod euro cac who im in better shape then :heh:

If I were to rate Canelo's power on a 1-10 scale, he's prolly a 6.5 maybe a 7 at the most.

Dude's power is definitely above average tho. He punches correctly as fukk. I just think he doesn't get the most out of his power. He basically has offensive outbursts where he throw 2-4 heavy shots and then he has to rest to regain his energy to do it again. In addition, he doesn't really change the speed on his punches like that. His opponents know every shot is going to be hard so they brace for the impact. That's why even a shot Angulo was able to last as long as he did.

Canelo isn't lulling dudes into sneak bombs nor is he walking guys into big shots. He's just gonna stand in front of you and make you miss and then explode with a bunch of Balrog combos, wash, rinse, and repeat.

Guys like Broner, Tarver, Pac, will launch throwaway punches and then sneak in a nasty hard one. Canelo just throws everything hard. That's why he tires out so much.

nikkas act like Canelo is Trinidad with the Power, but he's closer to being a more athletic version of JMM and Swift hybrid and those 2 set up their counters better than Canelo since they do it in exchanges or walk guys into them.

The 140 guy huh?:jbhmm:

It took Canelo only 64 total punches landed and 170 punches thrown to KO Khan......it took the 140 guy more effort to get rid of Khan (65 punches landed and 216 thrown in order to KO Khan):hubie:

The 135 guy, yes, he finished Khan quicker.....but sometimes it goes like that :manny:

Since we're discussing power, or lack thereof :mjpls:, JCC Jr last 6 fights have been against guys who have all been KOd prior to facing him, but he still hasn't beaten anyone via KO since Andy Lee 5 years ago. Maybe we should discuss his lack of power as well :sas2:

It should've... the 140 guy didn't outweigh Khan by 20+ pounds in a division Khan had no business in :russ:

N let's not forget that GBP Nick Patrick Ref that gave Khan a 20 count to give him another round of eating unnecessary punches...Canelo stans should be thanking the 140 guy for softening up that chin even more

Without that Khan may have made it all 12 against Canelo:Smugswift:
