I know the whole SOG vs GGG situation and again, my post wasn't in reference to Canelo at all. It was because Lateral is ducking opponents in his OWN weight class that have called him out on numerous occasions, but I was told he was allowed to do so.




So, with that being understood, that's he's allowed to dismiss opponents because of financial reasons, wouldn't it make sense for someone else to dismiss him? That's where my post of "are we fans of the sport of Boxing or the business of Boxing?" came from. I was gonna throw some shots at GGG when Lateral made his comments, but I couldn't because he's doing the same thing to GGG that Andrade did too him........and Andrade was a Champion in the same division at the same time calling him out. That's where my post stemmed from, not Canelo



Canelo ducked GGG imo, but it is what it is. I rather see Canelo against the Junior Middleweights anyways as you know from my statements a few days ago. I don't think Canelo can beat GGG at 160 at all, so at this point I'd rather him fight one of the 154lbers at 155 instead.

I think the fight will happen by 2017 guaranteed. most likely cinco de mayo. like you said...canelo's chances are gonna go down if he takes it at 160 right now. so if he chooses to take an interim fight to get acclimated at the weight first then he's earned that right. and if he stays at 155, then we already know he's gonna fight a beast. if they don't fight eachother just wait to see their next opponents. but the fight is gonna go down for sure...I don't think there's any doubt.

Nikkas is spending more time flipping tires with gas mask, hitting pads all day, rather then perfecting they technique ( bettering footwork, cutting off the ring, etc) and not sparring enough.

this is the problem you nikkas live in some pretend perfect world where the same rules apply and every situation is the same.


Difference is Canelo has taken risk after risk to become that nikka with his resume at 25, if he wants a cherry now and then he is entitled to it.

97g is 35 and has a resume of tune ups and his turning his nose up at the guy who would be his best W up to this point.

because canelo is little g's end game. that's all he wants. just like when pac was chasing floyd. he fought oscar, hatton, & cotto to show he could beat all those guys worse than floyd did. and it worked. casual fans stayed referring to those victories to argue pac would destroy floyd. little g beating lara worse than canelo did will only make his reputation even stronger and put more pressure on canelo. you already know HBO would sell that shyt to the casuals and they would eat that shyt up. we can say lara doesn't draw like hatton or cotto, but little g draws nowhere near pacquiao either.

i'm not saying he has to fight lara...he can do what he wants. but he's not doing himself any favors by fighting bums. beating wade does absolutely nothing for him...beating saunders does nothing for him as far as landing canelo. right now they have no common opponents. little g has a chance to change that and beat lara is dramatic fashion. yea it might not do GREAT business, but it can only make a potential canelo fight even bigger. and that's all little g wants at the end of the day. beating lara may not land him big money now, but it can help land him much more money later. little g stays beating up on guys with no drawing power. so why not beat another one and at least put some pressure on canelo at the same time?....there's a good reason for it. and it's not about A-side/B-side. it's about styles and knowing lara could potentially make him look ordinary. but again...we already know little g isn't about taking risks.
