also people talking like morales got KTFO , he just got knocked down but injured his leg i think, he was gonna get back up but people overreacted.

i remember something about him wanting to be the first mexican 4-weight champ or something, he was officially done with the 3rd pacman fight (unofficially done during the raheem fight), one last hurrah in maidana. even against david diaz is legs were gone, so to continue that long fighting champion-quality fights is still insane

as for garcia dude still doesnt impress me at all. faded morales twice, lucky punch against khan after getting battered. cant wait til he fights someone decent, i dont like him for some reason

Khan wasn't decent? :what:
Garcia is young, but you can't tell me he's not an elite welter weight.

Garcia vs Rios would be dope :krs:

The only thing I don't like about Garcia is how thirsty he gets for a KO.

It always gets into a blind fit of rage when he gets a guy hurt

Is he swatting flys? :damn:

Danny Garcia: Matthysse is Just a Regular Tough Guy

By Bill Emes

WBC/WBA junior welterweight champion Danny Garcia is riding high after his four round destruction of Erik Morales on Saturday night at Barclays Center in Brooklyn. Garcia won a twelve round decision over Morales in March, but promised to stop him in four when the rematch got signed.

"That's two predictions in a row that I got [regarding four round knockouts," Garcia (25-0, 16KOs) told BoxingScene.com

Garcia now wants the best in 2013.

"Whatever Golden Boy wants. I want the best. I want the big fights. If my dad thinks I'm ready, if my manager thinks I'm ready. I think I'm ready but I'll let them do that," Garcia said.

One possible option is Argentine bomber Lucas Matthysse (32-2, 30KOs), who captured the WBC's interim-title last month with a ten round TKO of Ajose Olusegun. Matthysse believes he earned a crack at Garcia, but the unified champion is not that impressed with him.

"It would be a good fight, but how can you be one of the best when you have no titles? He has two losses. I take nothing away from him. He's a good fighter, but he's not like no world-class superstar or nothing. He's just a regular tough guy to me, I've seen them before," Garcia said.

Zab Judah and Devon Alexander have called Matthysse one of the hardest punchers, if not the hardest, that they ever faced.

"That's because they never faced me yet," Garcia chimed in.

Judah (42-7, 29KOs), who has a good following on the East Coast, is one possible option for Garcia's next fight, which may take place at Barclays.

Schaefer: We'll Look To Explore Garcia vs. Judah in BK

By Keith Idec

NEW YORK — A Danny Garcia-Amir Khan rematch is one that is likely to be scheduled eventually. For now, it appears as if Garcia will first target a fight against a former two-division champion Khan dominated last year. Golden Boy Promotions’ Richard Schaefer indicated Sunday morning that he is seriously interested in making a Garcia-Zab Judah fight early in 2013 at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, where Judah was raised.

Judah sat ringside Saturday night for Garcia’s spectacular fourth-round knockout of faded Mexican legend Erik Morales in a WBC super welterweight title fight.

“Zab had mentioned Danny’s name before and it’s something which we’re going to be discussing with [Judah’s] team,” Schaefer said. “I’m sure we would have a full house here in Brooklyn for that fight, so that’s definitely something we’ll look to explore.”

Judah, who’ll turn 35 on Saturday, is in promotional limbo because he allowed his contract with Main Events to expire over the summer and the 50 Cent-Floyd Mayweather Jr. partnership dissolved before it even really began. Those are among the reasons no company other than Headbangers Promotions, operated by the family of Lamont
Peterson’s trainer, bid on the IBF-mandated junior welterweight title fight between Washington, D.C.’s Peterson (30-1-1, 15 KOs) and Judah (42-7, 29 KOs, 2 NC), a Las Vegas resident.

Headbangers Promotions’ $50,000 bid would leave Judah with $12,500 after a required 75-25 purse split between the champion and No. 1 challenger. There is obviously much more money to be made if Judah challenges Garcia— Morales’ overall compensation package for Saturday’s rematch is believed to have been in the neighborhood of $1
million.

The 24-year-old Garcia, meanwhile, would welcome a fight against Judah or anyone else. The entertaining fighter from Philadelphia’s confidence is at an all-time high after extremely impressive back-to-back performances against Morales and England’s Khan (26-3, 18 KOs), whom Garcia also stopped in the fourth round July 14 in Las Vegas.

“I’ll fight anybody,” said Garcia, who improved to 25-0 and recorded his 16th knockout against Morales (52-9, 36KOs). “Like I said before, my job is not to pick my fights. My job is to train hard and be focused in the gym, and whoever they put in front of me, destroy them.”

Garcia added after defeating Morales that he doesn’t intend to move up to welterweight any time soon. He also isn’t impressed with Argentine slugger Lucas Matthysse (32-2, 30 KOs), whom one reporter asked about him fighting next. Matthysse won the WBC’s interim super lightweight title Sept. 8 in Las Vegas, where he stopped Nigeria’s
Ajose Olusegun (30-1, 14 KOs) in the 10th round. “Lucas Matthysse, to me he’s not one of the best,” Garcia said. “He don’t even got a title,” but, “I can beat anybody.”
