easy broner has a direct floyd connection, crossed over into the black community, has personality and markets himself even though his skills dont match up to his hype..spence not as much although if it was more known that spence beat up floyd in sparring and/or footage of that leaked that may help his cause a little...but he has to put himself out there more..something to catch the casuals..which is actually a problem for every known welter today with the exception of pac

not surprising...showtime is a premium channel..the other channels are not..plus the prelims was piggybacking a solid ufc card on paper..even though the 2 main fights ended up being godawful..and bellator had aging known names

Him, himself as a person + his personality, reasonates with a lot of people who know people like Broner, plus the hip hop celebrities love him as well:

As long as the hip hop community loves you, you're gonna do ratings and attendance. Broner is loved for his personality almost more than his actual boxing abilities at this point.



Fly, Fresh, Flashy took him a long way with taking that mantle from Floyd while the others Floyd christened as "The Next Floyd Mayweather" (Alexander, Haney, Spence, Tank) couldnt take it from Broner. They don't have the personality that he does

I figured that's what was next when he tweeted fight date soon. I dont even remember Lamont Peterson being ranked by the IBF before he vacated his regular WBA belt, seems like the IBF made a concession there so Spence could fight a known name before the mandatories came into play.
