Question for The Ring

If Postol comes out and sends Prograis to the bushes, will it boost his profile as far as quality fighter?

Yes...to me, it will make him legit.

Not an A fighter, but a solid B class fighter, near the top of that class.

He wins and it boosts Crawford's resume, so you gotta root for Postol. If Prograis wins, then it takes away from Crawford's best win.

"No, we are not fighting Pacquiao. Manny Pacquiao is calling out Lomachenko, who is three weight classes down the scale from him. Manny Pacquiao is 147 pounds and he's calling out Lomachenko, who is 130 pounds. That's insane," Klimas told ESPN.

"He's an old man and Lomachenko beating him takes him nowhere. If the fight happened they'll all say Lomachenko beat an old man and made him come down [in weight]. Even if he beat Pacquiao, they'd say he beat an old guy who was basically retired. We want to fight active champions dominating their weight classes."

No country for old men...especially one who cant make 135:manny:

I don't blame them for not taking it, Loma never competed above 130 and Pac while he's old, is still bigger, stronger, more expereinced than Loma, not wise to fight him now, but I think if they would be in the same division or the difference would be just 1 weightclass then they would be stupid not to take it cause a Pac fight still means a lot in commercial terms because Pac is a known name for all the casuals.

I always thought he is legit...

nit as good as the top guys in one division above but stopping Matthysse is legit... :yeshrug:
I don't buy and I will never buy the "Swift ruined Matthysse with winning 7 rounds out of 12" narrative

with that said I think Prograis will beat Postol
Postol was very inactive since he lost to Crawford, only fought once and he is not young for a 140 pounder, he is 34 already
I would pick Prograis anyway but now I'm picking him with more confidence than I would do against an active, younger Postol

It's somewhat strange to me that it will be on a Friday but it's good cause next day there are cards already :ehh:

03/09: Prograis vs Postol and Baranchyk vs Ygit
03/10: Valdez vs Quigg

I’m surprised we’re giving Prograis this much credit cause he hasn’t fought anybody lol, and you know I’m rooting for my whoa.

:ohhh:But you can beat an old man coming up from 2 divisions below when Pac already said he willing to drop to 140?? Huh LomaShooko

paq v loma..

giving me thoughts of oscar vs manny..

right or stretch?

I feel you breh. I think Loma should take that fight and beat Manny's ass (like really put hands on him, not win a gift decision or box scary) and take his career to the next level.

Some casuals still fukk with Pac an until they see him forced outta boxing, they still gonna view him as a threat to certain fighters. The window for the Craw fight passed 2 years ago. Cats wanna see Craw fight Spence, Thurman, etc....more than a Manny bout. It's perfect timing for Loma tho.

Loma could do to Pac what he did to Oscar. Who knows.

The fight after Crawford, I seen Postol get rocked twice and almost lose to a bum....that's why Im putting the pressure on for this fight. I don't know really how good Postol is & a clear win over Prograis, who seems to be the goods, stamps Postol as B class at his very worst imo, which is a good thing:yeshrug:

When have you seen Lomachenko take credit for that win though?:ohhh:

He always said he didn't want to fight Rigo, because he's too small and wouldn't get any credit...yall said he was "scared of Rigo":mjpls:

He said he'd squash Rigo because he's too small....yall called him a liar:mjpls:

He made Rigo quit and he didn't look for credit afterwards....and no credit was given either, like myself and Team Loma told yall it wouldn't:mjpls:

But, I'll let them speak for themselves:hubie:

"The difference is Lomachenko didn't call out Rigondeaux," he said. "Rigondeaux was willing and begging for the fight, so Lomachenko fought Rigondeaux. They had two gold medals each, they were both undefeated, and did that take Lomachenko somewhere? For Team Lomachenko, that fight didn't mean anything. He beat a small guy. Even if he beat Pacquiao, they'd say he beat an old guy who was basically retired. We want to fight active champions dominating their weight classes."

Lomachenko rep takes air out of Pacquiao talk

Maybe Pacquiao should become an active fighter and prove he can dominate WW, instead of worrying about facing a much better fighter 3 divisions below him....unless he's gonna meet us at 135 being that we're only 130.:ld:

"There's a lot of champions and good guys at 130 or 135 pounds. That's where we're going. Why isn't Pacquiao calling out [Terence] Crawford? Crawford is moving into Pacquiao's weight class. Why doesn't he call out [Mikey] Garcia, who is at 140?"

Great question:sas1:

We already know how The Toradol Terminator runs away from just the mere mention of the name "Terence" by Bob Arum:sas2:

Swift broke Matthysse face

Matthysse quit against Postol cuz he was having flashbacks N thought his face was broke again N did not want that feeling again...Matthysse face was not broke

That's the very definition of ruining a fighter :stopitslime:

If swift never breaks Matthysse face...Matthysse never gets :merchant:in Postol fight N quits
