If Floyd really wants to risk greatness and put everything on the line like a G, he'd fight GGG at 160 if he came back. The fight is worthless if it's any weight lower. Sanchez looking like a ho ready to suck the next baller's dikk in the champagne room the way he's so eager to do this 154 shyt. Floyd will get no credit for the fight and the public is gonna be pissed to see some weight drained guy slowly following Floyd around to get decisioned in an uneventful fight.
If this happens, this will be another prime example of greed/pride changing the trajectory of your career for the worse. May vs GGG at 154 has RJJ/Tarver 2 vibes all over it. You already at the top of world with a Canelo rematch on the horizon or pretty much being in the driver's seat for any fight at 160....Why give yourself a guaranteed lost fighting below your optimum weight to cash out like you some faded C level boxer with no pull.
This nikka is like 36 or some shyt wanting to weigh in 6 pounds lower after having a lengthy am and pro career. Golovkin is in the declining stages of his prime. He could very well lose to the next quality dude that doesn't back down and decides to really push him, but he'll still have a at least a 55% chance of winning at 160. Anything lower and his chances spiral downward. We seen how history has played out. Moving down for a payday hardly ever turns out good. You pretty much taking an L for one large cashout and a future of being the B side in any decent match up until you get retired brutally or decide to just fight no hopers.
It's better for the sport to see the next generation take it from GGG in a good fight (Andrade, Charlos, Eubanks, etc...) than to see some semi retired boxer wallstreet boardroom decision his way into the middleweight championship only to vacate it later for randoms to fight over it.
Bryd and RJJ are 2 of my fav boxers ever and I saw how they fukked their career up doing that shyt. Would hate to see GGG share the same fate, but it is what it is.
I rather see Mcgregor train with hunter, roach, or garcia for 6 months and rematch Floyd than to have a bullshyt GGG fight at 154.
or Floyd fight the winner of Thurman/Spence/Crawford... or Floyd just stay retired. Would be dope to see him in some movies. Floyd vs Ip Man or some shyt.
