One side needs the body, the decorum. The other needs the money.
GGG deserves a Canelo rematch with no golden judges
I think
@patscorpio and I are on the same page with this one. I understand why the fight would get made (or talked about), I just have no desire for it. Floyd is Floyd, so he deserves to do whatever he wants. I don't buy the he needs GGG for his legacy. That is bullshyt to me. None of these guys at 147 are as talented as Floyd...but at 40, there are a few guys I don't like the matchup at this age (Spence, Crawford...maybe Thurman).
Reality is the dumbass media keeps pushing GGG vs. Floyd and GGG doesn't need it either. A Canelo rematch is better for his resume or any of the legit 160 lb'ers right now. Also 4 years ago GGG going to 154 was
. He probably could have made it, but not as naturally as Abel said he would. It would have been terrible vs. Canelo, since Canelo could balloon up, it wasn't the worst idea since Floyd's punches wouldn't have really hurt GGG. GGG just would have been drained and Floyd's best strategy would be to drain his stamina. GGG going to 154 or below now is
. GGG is no longer making 160 quite as easily as he once did, if he went to anything below dude would be a fukking skeleton at the weigh-in. He would be drained during the fight and the only real hope is that power would bail him out or Floyd actually looks like a 40 year old boxer who has been inactive.
Again, I understand the fight, I just don't like the idea of it.
