Lomachenko Dares Rigondeaux To Do 'Winner Takes All' Bout

Fans have been calling for Vasyl Lomachenko to face Guillermo Rigondeaux for a long time, in what would be a 'superfight' of the lower weight classes.

Lomachenko defends his WBO world super featherweight crown on August 5th against Miguel Marriaga, live on BoxNation. The double-Olympic gold medallist is keen to unify the division before potentially moving up a division.

Meanwhile, Rigondeaux, who holds the WBA 'Super' world super bantamweight title, has been calling out the Ukrainian on social media.

Egis Klimas, who manages Lomachenko, recently invited Rigo to step up to super featherweight to prove how serious he was. The Cuban accepted, yet Bob Arum, Loma's promoter, states that no serious communication has been made.

When talks have taken place in the past, Arum claims that the Cuban's camp have demanded too much money.

Speaking to ES News last week, Lomachenko addressed Rigondeaux while speaking directly to the camera and the message was clear.

“Be a man. Take your manager and promoter, come to my promoter. My offer to you is, all the money I'm going to get and all the money you're going to get...put in [one] place, and the winner will take it all," he said via his manager, acting as translator.

The Ukrainian also criticised Rigondeaux for the tweets and memes his team have been posting over the past couple of months, appearing to mock Lomachenko and Klimas while claiming that they are ducking the fight and cherry picking opponents, namely Marriaga.

“I understand it's not you putting the pictures up, but they're putting you in a very bad spot because in the ring you will have to answer for every single picture," warned the 29-year-old.

It seems that for now, further negotiations are required before any deal edges closer.

Dare a fighter 2 divisions below you brehs :scust:
Dare a fighter who's gonna be more than 10 pounds lighter than you on fight night :gucci:

I don't care who said what on Twitter, daring a fighter who intends to jump 2 divisions just to face you to do anything else looks bad :picard:

idc, we're talking about a fighter willing to jump 2 divisions up to face him, don't be on that "dare him to do x or y" bullshyt just be quiet and make the fight. Loma has a quite big advantage in size and age no need for further demands from him

which fight each person highlights from the cruiser matchups in WBSS really shows whether a person follows cruiserweight like that or rather "cruiser casual" :mjlol:

focusing on Huck vs Usyk vs focusing on Dorticos vs Kudryashov

people who doN't really follow cruiser just remember that Huck is some big name there so they figure he's a good opponent but they forgot or don't know that he lost his belt in 2015 via KO by someone Usyk beat later and that on his last fight when he got a crack at a title again he got beaten in a humiliating fashion by Briedis in a complete shutout.

I think it's safe to say he's a shot fighter unless some miracle happens. I mean 10 Millions is a good motivator but I don't see Huck doing any significant here and anymore in his career.

like i said huck vs usyk only has the factor if usyk is still green as grass..even though he did take the title pretty clearly from glowacki, who took the title from huck..huck has a chance..he's not that big of an underdog to me..he's past it but not done by my standards

dorticos vs kudryashov...the only way this fight can disappoint me is if it goes 12 rounds..and if it does legitimately i will be completely baffled lol

I see where you're coming from but I think Huck's last fight showed us where he is at this moment. Briedis is also not a very experienced fighter but he easily took him apart.

Dorticos vs Kudryashov pretty much can't be bad if it goes the distance it will go with multiple KDs on the way so even that would be good.

Chances Dorticos vs Kudryashov gonna end up something like Barrera vs Smith?

Dorticos been mad inactive lately though, he last fought in the May of 2016, wondering how that will affect him... :patrice:

No it doesnt.

Rigo asking for 50-50 splits....Loma asking to put it all up period and whoever wins gets 100%. I dont see the problem unless he's unsure he beats Lomachenko:sas2:

Yep.

Put up or shut up Rigo:ufdup:

Asking for 50% of the purse? Nah, you can have it where you get 100% of the purse if you're truly confident you beat Lomachenko:sas2:

Rigo knew Lomachenko was a 130lber when he called him out....dont bring up weight now:sas1:

Like Egis Klimas said, you dont see Lomachenko calling out current 140 and 147 Champions right now :sas1:

Rigo calls him out and says he will fight him at 130, then asks for a 50-50 split of the purse...so nobody should be talking about weight advantage bc this apparently what Rigo & yall want:sas2:

He can also have the whole 100% if he chooses & really believes he wins

I'm not hearing nothing about weight advantage. I sat here for 2 weeks straight saying Loma had all the advantages, yall argued that yall wanted to see "best vs best" regardless.:sas1:

So if the fight happens and Loma beats him, dont use weight as an excuse bc then there is no reason for them to fight period....Loma is bigger, taller, stronger, much younger, & in his prime. Plus he's extremely skilled, at worst he's top 5 most skilled in the world. :ahh:

Rigo cannot win that fight, but if yall want it...no excuses:ufdup:

again, idc who said what on twitter, daring a fighter 2 divisions below you is quite ridiculous
rather just shut up and work out the terms but don't be cocky with a fighter 2 divisions lower than you :usure:
