Things are heating up for the welterweight showdown between Floyd Mayweather Jr. (43-0, 26KOs) and Robert "The Ghost" Guerrero (31-1-1, 18KOs), scheduled to take place on May 4th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Showtime Pay-Per-View will carry the event.

On Tuesday, Robert Guerrero's father and trainer, Ruben Guerrero, held nothing back after taking offense to some recent comments that were made by Floyd Mayweather Sr. , the father and trainer of WBC welterweight champion Floyd Mayweather Jr.

It didn't take long for Mayweather Sr. to respond, as he continued to warn Ruben Guerrero of the potential physical consequences if he gets out of line.

Mayweather Sr. told Percy Crawford of Fighthype.com the following:

"Motherf***er was talking sh*t about Lil' Floyd and that ain't gonna go down. He say he f***ing 30-0 in the streets? He can get ready to be 30-1 because I don't f*** around. WBC super welterweight champion Saul “Canelo” Alvarez says he may not fight on the May 4 Mayweather-Guerrero card in Las Vegas if Mayweather doesn’t sign to face him on September 14th. “We are waiting for the signing of Mayweather, and if he doesn’t, I won’t fight May 4 on his card,” Canelo said Tuesday night on Mexican network Televisa. Canelo said he and his representatives Jose and Edison Reynoso will arrive in Los Angeles on Thursday to resolve the issue. If Mayweather won’t sign, Canelo says he might fight on April 20 or another date. He plans to start training for his next fight, whenever and wherever it ends up, in Santa Monica, California on Friday.
