Hearn is rich af as I imagine, he's the main promoter of the liveliest British scene in a minute@hyperman25
I dont think Hearn is going to pay it, so if TC wants all 4...he might have to step up instead:yeshruh:
The heavyweight division is a joke.
It's like, do these guys even fight? These nyggas don't have shyt scheduled.
On 12 September Cornish travelled to London to face off against current IBF heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua for the Vacant Commonwealth Belt in front of a packed crowd at the O2 Arena, it would be a battle of undefeated fighters. Cornish looked nervous before the bout and was potentially intimidated by the raucous crowd, he promised to put the young Olympian under more pressure than he had ever been before. Cornish came out cautiously, trying to establish his jab as the two boxers felt each other out. The two men traded jabs as the crowd grew in excitement, as Cornish came forward landing a slick double jab he got caught by a stunning right hand from Joshua. Cornish beat the count and Joshua went on the attack, Cornish now found himself on the defensive for the first time in the fight and he swung with a nice left right combination only to be caught with a left in return. Cornish tried to steady things behind his quick jab again but Joshua's speed was now allowing him to consistently counter with some lovely right hands over the challenger's guard, eventually in what would be their final exchange Cornish lost his distance and though trying to fire back found himself caught with a powerful right hand at close range on the chin and he fell to his knees face forward into the corner for the second knockdown. Cornish bravely rose once again defying expectations, however he was unsteady and the referee wisely waved it off. Cornish was gracious and humble in defeat praising his opponents talent and more importantly his ability to adapt and change strategy in a hard fight, commentators and fans likewise admired the battle they had seen and Cornish promised to come back even stronger in the future.[2] Cornish remained largely absent from the public eye following the Joshua fight, but has since regrouped in 2016 with two points victories in bouts fought in Scotland.

Povetkin fights this weekendThe heavyweight division is a joke.
It's like, do these guys even fight? These nyggas don't have shyt scheduled.
this fight is still underrated in terms of significance..the fact a true unification will happen in a division is huge..for the winner will prove to be a huge career highlight.- Indongo is strong and sturdy, but would have to favor Crawford. Two undeafeted champions who have beaten good opposition recently.
i think of it as the leading fight of the year..favorite is still Aleem-Khytrov- Favorite fight of the year has been Joshua-Klitschko.
only fight highlights?!! they wont put it on Showtime Extreme?!!- Likes the Miller vs. Washington undercard for Garcia-Broner. Disappointing that Showtime will only show fight highlights so they can play the full Charlo-Heiland fight. The fight may be shown on Facebook, but disappointing it won't be on TV.
just said that the other day; all the CW champs in there tournament would be huge esp with unification factor- The SMW division is poor and the tournament has nothing exciting in it yet. The CW tournament is great. Usyk is supposed to be in it, just hasn't been announced.
- Which has a better chance of surviving: PBC or meaningful boxing on HBO? Boxing on HBO.
well that turned out to be incorrect :hehe:- Really likes Easter, but Shafikov is tough. Thinks Easter schools him.
why reveal this?- Hopkins was slightly overweight for the Pascal rematch, left the scale and took a crap and came back and weighed in at the correct weight.
agreed- Describe ESPN's current interest level in boxing? Huge. ESPN is a sleeping giant in the boxing industry and they are about to roar loudly. Has said for 20 years that if ESPN wanted to take over boxing they could.
i love laila and she was talented but career wise she is very overrated- Why didn't Ann Wolfe vs. Laila Ali happen? Ali refused to fight.
showtime is having a banner year if they air this- Showtime has been talking about showing the World Boxing Super Series.
finally an interesting fight ramirez is in..its jesse hart time- Gilberto Ramirez will fight Jesse Hart in the fall.
nah ..fukk lomachenko..its salido salido SD12 ..gotta keep it moving if you dont pay the man what he said he wanted- Has Salido ducked Lomachenko? Yes.
Usyk is Eager To Claim All Belts at World Boxing Super Series
The World Boxing Super Series is delighted to announce that the inaugural season of the Muhammad Ali Trophy will feature ALL four reigning cruiserweight champions. WBO titlist & Olympic gold medal winner Oleksandr Usyk (12-0, 10 KOs) has officially joined the revolutionary bracket-style elimination tournament that already features unbeaten champions Yunier Dorticos (WBA), Mairis Briedis (WBC) and Murat Gassiev (IBF) as well as former champions Marco Huck and Krzysztof Wlodarczyk, with two more spots to be filled. On July 8, all participants will come face-to-face at the Draft Gala in Monaco where they will hand-pick their quarter-final opponents.
Usyk is thrilled to be fighting for The Greatest Prize in Boxing, the Muhammad Ali Trophy. “I feel happy and inspired with the idea of such a tournament,” he stated. ”I've been dreaming of putting together all the champs to see who is the strongest and becomes the undisputed king of the division. I look forward to gaining three more world championship belts to my collection as well as the Greatest's Muhammad Ali Trophy!”
Roberto Dalmiglio, Comosa´s Head of Management Board, said the stakes could not be any higher. “This is a historic moment,” he stated. “Nobody has ever assembled as many top fighters as the World Boxing Super Series and put them in an elimination tournament to determine the undisputed number one. Whoever emerges from a competition that features the four reigning champions, two former champions as well as two rising challengers to be announced shortly will be universally recognized as the greatest cruiserweight out there.”
Richard Schafer, Comosa´s Chairman of the Americas, has lauded the fighters` for accepting the ultimate challenge. “It takes a lot of heart to sign up for the Muhammad Ali Trophy because the level of competition is beyond everything the world has ever seen,” he said. “Eight stars will put it all on the line – their belts, their unbeaten records and their reputation – knowing that only one of them can win. With four belts and the Muhammad Ali Trophy at stake, the World Boxing Super Series is as good as it gets for fighters and fans around the world.”
Kalle Sauerland, Comosa´s Chief Boxing Officer, can´t wait for the tournament bracket to be unveiled during the Draft Gala. In an innovative process, the four top-seeds (to be determined by Comosa) will hand-pick their opponents from the four unseeded boxers. “This has never been done before and there could not be a more exciting way to kick off the World Boxing Super Series,” Sauerland said. “Just like the boxing fans all over the world, we are very curious to find out about the fighters’ picks. The stage is certainly set for an exciting tournament.”
In the World Boxing Super Series, 16 elite fighters – eight super-middleweights and eight cruiserweights – will battle it out in a bracket-style elimination tournament. In both divisions, there will be four quarter-finals (September / October 2017), two semi-finals (early 2018) and one final (May 2018), making for a total of 14 high-class fights.
