But according to Carl Moretti, Top Rank Inc.’s vice president of boxing operations, Salido turned down a $720,000 purse to face Lomachenko that night. Top Rank instead announced late Thursday night that Lomachenko will meet Colombia’s Miguel Marriaga in a super featherweight title fight ESPN will broadcast August 5 from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.

“When [Salido’s] financial requests were met, suddenly there were other issues, like a hand problem, which led to a weight problem, which led to Marriaga,” Moretti told ESPN.com. “Funny how that happens. So we moved on to secure the best possible opponent at the time, and Miguel Marriaga stepped up to the plate.”

But let me guess...Salido, who probably hasn't made 200k combined in his last two fights, is some "big draw" and is more deserving of a larger purse offer, than a man who's been on every reputable p4p list for years and has earned a larger career high purse.

Go on a diatribe about Salido that you inexplicably admit that Rigondeaux has already turned down a 500k offer to fight Lomachencko previously which = he already ducked Loma before brehs....just like me, Loma, and Klimas have been saying for the past few days

The Salido offer was because Loma vs Salido = a fight everyone in here was saying Loma "needed", so TR offered him a fair amount

Rigo's drawing power is closer & more consistent with Loma's if you peel back the #'s properly...and this while having a fraction of the career investment & promotion by HBO/Top Rank that Loma has

He's been avoided and blackballed for "being too good" and so-called boxing fans are actually co-signing this shyt.
