Definitely show some love to these fighters breh......especially the one's who rep Florida (yall know I love my #OhioPlayers):salute:

I really implore ALL Boxing fans to catch a fighter live, especially if it's their favorite fighter and it's within an 8 hour drive (if you don't want to fly). It's almost like supporting your favorite artist when they drop a new cd.....you go and get it so that it sells which ='s more money in the artists pockets which ='s more room from the label to let them put out more material:obama:

If a Rapper aint moving units, he's shelfed right? Well, it's the same with Boxers who cant draw....they end up fighting off TV somewhere or are sat on ice while the one's who DO draw can lose multiple times and still receive big paydays because they have a decent fanbase who still shows up (i.e. Shawn Porter in Brooklyn and his random built-in fanbase:wow:)

Yall don't hear me on here complaining about why The #1 Lightweight In The World aint been seen on TV in over a year and don't have any fights lined up or how his paydays are always :scust:......bc I know why. Nobody watches him, and his "fanbase" is small, and he's considered boring, and he doesn't draw, just like Rigo:manny:
It wasn't always that way. Fighters used to fight to see if they were the best not just for cash. nikkas only care about money but are male 1/20th the dollars Floyd makes. He made money because he fought the best which is a common misconception to these new fighters.

i was still grieving for King Mike Jack passing..this fight on the weekend made a balance.

Prodigy hit me harder than Jackson :wow: I don't think im still over it to be honest. The sickle cell community is small but we're all connected through facebook etc n growing up in the era I did I looked up to P on some :ohhh: I could do whatever the fukk I want this shyt won't hold me back. That and my stubborn ass pop whom I love to death threw me into karate and the boxing gym as a kid on some "you can do anything they can" shyt and although I was getting the shyt beat out of me at first and did have my limitations like eventually got to a point where I was decent and when nikkas found out I had SC they were legit :picard: :wow: How sway :gucci: that feeling was probably one of the GOAT feelings in the world with my son being born as my 1st.

Back to boxing though this thread getting too chatty patty let me add some sauce to this shyt

let's talk hand fighting  something that along with footwork is similar in both wrestling and boxing. My son is a southpaw n besides footwork and jab/slip hand fighting is what I taught him after.

doesn't have to be quick, you don't even need to have a rythmn to it just having your hand out will stop the righty's jab and distract them enough to get foot position

I use boxing to keep krack jr in shape during the offseason for his wrestling so I tend to look for stuff that crosses over and hand fighting and footposition stuff is one of them. Ima make some gifs of him at Shakur Stevenson gym later on this week. I think he is starting to get the boxing itch now that he is getting older and sees that he is naturally good at it.

I think the real reason Loma is calling dude "boring" which is a red flag thats promoter talk is in this vid. PrettyBoy fights at his rhythm and Rigo is VERY good and disrupting a fighters rhythm that's the reason I feel Loma don't want smoke. It would be his first time in there against someone who does what he does better. That and hbo aint letting Rigo fukk up their money 2x.

idk how you can be a fan of boxing and not want to see these two go at it man this shyt is a wet dream for us footwatching ass nerds :to:

Funny how only black fighters, managers, etc have to prove their greatness while every other demographic can fight whoever the fukk they want with no media scrutiny....... and still get placed high (or even #1) on damn near all p4p lists

Why are we the only ones that have to "dare to be great"?

Where is this pressure on these other guys?

shyt is disgusting

Life ain't fair and boxing is racist:yeshrug:

Never seen footwork that fluid...ever...and we might not ever see it again after he's gone :wow:

I couldn't imagine having to stand across the ring from that and try to figure out what the hell i'm gonna do to corral this muthafukka
full

The footwork, balance & poise alone probably fukk up dudes heads as much as anything.

There's a reason why a Robert Guerrero gets paid millions every time he steps thru them ropes even though he can barely beat any WW he faces.....TV ratings/putting butts in seats/selling merchandise = bigger $$$$, not resumes:hubie:

you think ghost is a ratings draw?

That's why I thought it would've been a perfect fight for Matthysse.

Guerrero is only a name at this point. BUT he does come to fight which would play right into the hands of Lucas. Matthysse would be the 1st person to actually beat Guerrero via KO imo, and with it being on Canelo/GGG, it would've got his face back out to the casuals in a dominant fashion:yeshrug:
Matthysse Jessie 'I'm a fakkit' Vargas would be perfect

Victor Ortiz vs. Saul Corral Finalized - PBC on FS1, July 30

Exciting former world champion Victor Ortiz (31-6-2, 24 KOs)will meet Mexico's Saul Corral (24-9, 15 KOs) in a 10-round welterweight matchup onSunday, July 30 that headlines Premier Boxing Champions on FS1 and FOX Deportes live from Rabobank Theater in Bakersfield, California.

Televised coverage begins at 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT and will feature super welterweight contender Justin DeLoach (17-1, 9 KOs) taking on former title challenger Fernando Guerrero (28-4, 20 KOs) in a 10-round showdown and 2016 U.S. Olympian Karlos Balderas (1-0, 1 KO) in his second pro fight.

"This is a great opportunity for me to get back in the ring, shake off the ring rust and put on a show for the fans," said Ortiz. "I've been really focused on training and getting myself back physically and mentally to where I need to be. This is my first time fighting since my son was born and it's given me a whole new purpose in life. I'm thankful to everyone who has helped me get to this point and I can't wait to go do what I do best and entertain everyone in the arena and watching on FS1 and FOX Deportes."

"I am excited to test myself against another great former champion in Victor Ortiz," said Corral. "Everyone who has seen me fight knows I will give it my all every time I step into the ring. I plan on being aggressive and making Ortiz very uncomfortable in the ring. He has had problems overcoming adversity in the ring and I am going to test him and give him everything I have."

Tickets for the live event, which is promoted by Ringstar Sports, are priced at $80, $45 and $30 and are on sale Friday, June 30 for purchase online at AXS.com.

"Every time Victor Ortiz gets into the ring, you know that it is going to be an electric night and I expect another action-packed show on July 30," said Richard Schaefer, Chairman and CEO of Ringstar Sports. "Fans here in California and watching on FS1 and FOX Deportes will get to see the former world champion against the always tough Saul Corral as he works his way back towards the top of the welterweight division. This great show will also feature a strong matchup between a rising contender in Justin DeLoach and the veteran Fernando Guerrero, plus Ringstar's own Karlos Balderas, a 2016 U.S. Olympian who loves put on a show in the ring and will continue to prove that he has the skills to fulfill his tremendous potential."

An action fighter who never shies away from an exchange, Ortiz returns to the ring having picked up victories over the likes of Andre Berto, Vivian Harris, and Nate Campbell while also facing the top fighters in the sport including Floyd Mayweather, Marcos Maidana and Lamont Peterson. The Kansas-native has spent time in recent years to film roles in movies such as "Southpaw" and "The Expendables 3" but is now fully focused on a return to the pinnacle of the welterweight division.

Representing Agua Prieta, Sonora, Mexico, Corralis the winner of 10 of his last thirteen bouts including a hard-fought defeat in his last outing against former champion Josesito Lopez. The 30-year-old has fought professionally since 2006 and went the distance in a 10-round decision loss to U.S. Olympian Sadam Ali last September. He won a Mexican title in July 2016 with a fifth-round stoppage of Francisco Medel and also challenged former champion Mike Alvarado amongst his 33 career bouts.

The 23-year-old DeLoach is one of the fastest rising contenders in the 154-pound division as he enters this bout the winner of his last seven contests, including three wins over previously unbeaten fighters Domonique Dolton, Junior Castillo and Dillon Cook. His most recent outing saw him deliver a second-round knockout of then once-beaten Christopher Pearson. The fighter from Augusta, Georgia turned pro in 2013 and won his first 10 fights before suffering a defeat in early 2015.

The 30-year-old Guerrero lives and trains out of Los Angeles but grew up in Maryland after being born in the Dominican Republic. The veteran owns victories over Ishe Smith, Abraham Han, Derrick Findley and Gabriel Rosado plus a defeat in a world title bout against Peter Quillin. A pro since 2007, Guerrero most recently challenged 154-pound contender Tony Harrison last March.

Fighting out of Santa Maria, California, the 20-year-old Balderas is the son of Mexican parents who immigrated to the United States to give their children a better life. Balderas had an impressive amateur career that included a 2014 Youth National Championship, four National PAL championships and an impressive run in the World Series of Boxing. His amateur career culminated in a trip to the 2016 Olympic Games where he represented the U.S. and defeated fighters from Kazakhstan and Japan before a decision loss in the quarterfinals. He made his pro debut back in April, forcing Michael Thomas to retire after one round.

I will be putting money on Corral if he is a +1000 or more underdog for sure :heh:

It's funny that the idea of Adonis fighting a meaningful fight is so impossible to me that I don't even consider Ward/Adonis a possibility. I expect Ward/Bellew before that
Even funnier than that, is, if team Kkkov didn't duck Adonis way back when, he'd have exposed him before Ward. Some of y'all are silly.
