Because he is a moron. Wilder has spent 8 years fighting landscapers, wine tasters, master chocalatiers and substitute English teachers but now he is acting like he is too good to fight Whyte as part of a legit marketing effort to build up the eventual encounter between him and Joshua? Like I said he is dumb as fukk.
I know the substitute teacher one but I ain't know he fought a willy wonka :wtf:
Boxing is diverse :wtf:

Canelo Aims To Do a Real Number on GGG: No Rematch Needed - Boxing News

"It only needs to be one," Canelo stated in a very confident voice. "I want to make it clear that I’m better than him and there will be no need for another fight."

"I saw nothing really new from Golovkin
,” Alvarez told a small group of reporters through a translator. “He’s pretty much one-dimensional. He’s a fighter that’s very aggressive, that comes forward.

But I did see that when you have a fighter that is a little bit intelligent, and moves and boxes, he’s gonna give Golovkin trouble. And I think that Jacobs gave him too much respect the first few rounds. And if he would’ve started sooner, and not respected him as much, he would’ve won a clear decision. Even though that happened, I still thought that Jacobs won by one or two points.

:wow:

Canelo gonna give this boy a boxing lesson:banderas:

#CaneloCartel
I think Nelo said it perfectly. There is difficult fights and then there is tough fights. This is a tough fight. Difficult fights are those with very good movement, and slick boxing ability like Lara and Floyd. Only thing worrisome is GGGs power. If nelo can withstand that, this is going to be a masterpiece performance for Nelo and should bump him up to #2 P4P behind dre

:wow:

Abel Sanchez Says Kovalev is Stubborn, Was Difficult To Train

By Steve Kim

Abel Sanchez, who once worked with former champion Sergey Kovalev (30-2, 26 KOs), isn't all that surprised that he has seemingly tuned out trainer John David Jackson in his last few fights and many believe that a parting of ways between the two is inevitable after consecutive losses to Andre Ward (32-0, 16 KOs).

Last Saturday night at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, Ward stopped Kovalev in the eight round of their rematch.

Sanchez explained to BoxingScene.com - "When Sergey and I worked together I understood a year-and-a-half into our relationship he was going to be a very stubborn guy. He's a guy that thought he knew what he needed to do for himself. It was going to be difficult for him to understand that when people look at him from the outside, experienced coaches, they're going to be able to tell him him what he needs to do. But he has a hard time understanding that there's people to help him."

The trainer, who is best known for having worked with Terry Norris in the past and currently with middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin, jettisoned Kovalev from his camp for his lone wolf tendencies.

"That was one of the reasons why I asked him to leave because he wanted to do things in a different manner than I wanted,"he recalled."Other than that we got along, he's a very good fighter. He developed into the kind of fighter that I like in my gym but I'm not going to have an arrogant do-it-his-way type of fighter in the gym to spoil the rest of them."

Sanchez continued,"That''s his only downfall, if he had been in the kind of shape he needed to be in to last a fight against a great fighter like Andre Ward there's no doubt in my mind he would've won the fight. But you can't do it by yourself."

Oscar Valdez: I'm Not Afraid To Risk Record, I Want Gary Russell Jr.

By Miguel Rivera

Oscar Valdez is not afraid to lose his undefeated record and he's very keen to become the featherweight champion of the World Boxing Council.

It is for this very reason that the current featherweight king of the World Boxing Organization has named Russell as his main target for the remainder of the year.

Valdez (22-0, 19 KOs) is looking a tentative return in late August or September. He last fought in April when he won a hard-fought decision over Miguel Marriaga in a mandatory fight.

Russell (28-1, 17 KOs) was in the ring back in May when he knocked out his own mandatory challenger, Oscar Escandon.

Valdez is looking to be the best fighter possible in his division and wants to make a statement by fighting the best boxers at the weight.

"I want to be recognized as a boxer like Juan Manuel Marquez, Julio Cesar Chavez, who in their time fought with the best, without fear of losing with anyone. Márquez has had losses, but people will always remember him as the great champion," said Valdez to Golpe a Golpe.

"I am not afraid to lose, I am not afraid to risk my undefeated record to face the best, whether it is Abner Mares, Leo Santa Cruz, Lee Selby, Gary Russell, who has the green belt. I want to fight them to say that I'm a great boxer. If I had the chance, I would pick Gary Russell. Nothing personal against any of those boxers, but I want that title."

"I really like boxing. I've already seen that Mares is going with Santa Cruz, Frampton with Gutierrez, Russell fights once a year and I see it being difficult to put together because of the television channels. I know that boxing is short. I don't want to get old one day and turn around and say, 'What would have happened if I had faced Gary Russell? Would I have won or lost? ' I do not want to have that doubt. Right now I know it's my best moment, I want to face Gary Russell."
