Paul was a beast at ww. He stops any current ww imothere's not a single welterweight alive who paul wouldn't beat......thurman could barely take guerrero pressure, pwill woulda had him outta there by round 7.
Pac just too little imo. He open to straight shots when he jump in and out with. His downsManny Pacquiao would've been a nightmare IMO..... active, fast feet, strong, southpaw, highly skilled
In fact, P. Williams' defense always concerned me, since his offense was his defense. Heavy punchers always worried me against him.
paul had a granite chin. that sergio punch was literally on the PERFECT spot. even right after when he faced lara, he came right back more reckless than ever. taking bombs right on the chin and walking right through em. lara isn't a huge puncher but he got enough power to hurt most guys at 154 with a big punch. paul never flinched. I don't think any of them dudes at welter got enough pop in em to put him down. when paul fought with controlled aggression I felt he was unbeatable at welterweight....when he got careless, he could be outboxed. but rewatch this performance vs margarito and tell me how anybody at 147 today could fukk with him. the work rate and reach alone would wear out all of these guys. dude's performance vs tony was pure greatness....that was pwill at his peak. dude combined it all in that fight....reach, speed, footwork, defense. tony came back and made it close because dude is inhuman. but most of these dudes at 147 don't have that type of will. thurman gets pressured for a few rounds and he's completely gassed. paul would be on his head from the opening bell. it's a damn shame paul didn't come up in this era. he would have unlimited options from 147-154.Manny Pacquiao would've been a nightmare IMO..... active, fast feet, strong, southpaw, highly skilled

Zabala Will Not Back Off, Wants His $8.5 Million From Canelo
By Miguel Rivera
As BoxingScene.com reported earlier this week, the attorneys for promoter Felix 'Tutico' Zabala of All Star Boxing have filed a motion to garnish the wages of two-division world champion Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez.
Last June in a Miami court room, Canelo was cracked with a jury verdict which directed him to pay $8.5 million to former promoter Zabala.
For several years, there was an ongoing lawsuit between Zabala and Golden Boy Promotions/Canelo.
Zabala claimed that Canelo signed a four year promotional contract in 2008, but then violated that contract when he signed a promotional agreement with Golden Boy in 2011. The jury exonerated Golden Boy, but ordered Canelo to pay $8.5 million to Zabala - ruling that the Florida based promoter introduced Canelo to Golden Boy and helped jump start his career in the United States.
Of course Canelo vowed to appeal the jury's verdict and he filed two motions. One motion was to dismiss the verdict and other was for the court to order a new trial. Both of those motions were denied a few weeks ago.
Zabala is now moving to claim his money from Canelo's upcoming HBO Pay-Per-View showdown with Julio Cesar Chavez Jr., which takes place on May 6th from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
There has been another appeal filed against the jury's verdict.
"We won this case in court and a jury ruled that 'Canelo' must pay us $ 8.5 million for breaking a promotional representation contract we signed in 2008," Zabala told ESPN Deportes.
"We don't want to talk about a case that was already tried. The court gave us the verdict and established the amount that was considered fair to compensate us. Now all we are looking for is for Canelo to pay. They have just filed the appeal, although for the legal process to continue they need to file the $8.5 million with court. If they do not, we have the right to requisition any income or economic remuneration that Canelo has in the United States."
"Any money that he receives in the US, the first $8.5 million will have to come to us - in the event that he doesn't deposit the funds required by the court."
Canelo needs to set-up that payment plan, this man isn't letting him breathe

Floyd or Al would prolly be the first people up willing to pay that debt for him. 8 million is chump change compared to the revenue canelo will generate throughout his career. it's gonna be interesting to see how this plays out though.
