Pelullo is committed to Andrade-Culcay bout

In his first public comments on the brouhaha involving Demetrius Andrade’s torpedoed title bout with Jack Culcay on Saturday, promoter Artie Pelullo, who handles Andrade, said he remains committed to seeing the fight through with Culcay on a future date and is waiting on a ruling by the WBA to determine what is next for the two boxers.

“Nov. 5 is not happening in Germany,” Pelullo told RingTV.com on Wednesday of Andrade’s challenge for Culcay’s secondary 154-pound title, which was not to be shown on American television. “Now the WBA is going to make a ruling and we’re waiting for that ruling to see what the next steps are for the Andrade-Culcay fight on when the fight will happen. We remain committed to fighting for the WBA title.”

There are several options for what could possibly happen next. The WBA could potentially strip Culcay if it deems he was at fault for pulling out of the Nov. 5 date, though this seems unlikely. The WBA could also order a second purse bid after Culcay won the first auction in August with an offer of $425,144, though that wouldn’t be fair to the Andrade camp. Another scenario is the WBA could just rule that promotional control of the fight goes to the runner-up bid, which would be Pelullo and co-promoter Joe DeGuardia.

“Nothing has changed,” Pelullo said. “Demetrius Andrade is the best 154-pounder in the world and we’re going to get this fight. He’s going to beat Jack Culcay and defend the WBA title several times.”

So , since you were so quick to insinuate that Andrade avoided the fight on purpose in order to not face Lara, and it comes out 3 days later that Team Andrade IS in fact still looking for that WBA Championship, what do you have to say now?

culcay's side already said fukk them clowns....culcay signed and andrade bullshytted and procrastinated till it was too late. now all of a sudden they're "fully" committed to it......and lol at callin me an A-team hater. I never even mentioned andrade til you started calling him the most feared man in boxing. sayin canelo is duckin him when he hasn't fought a soul. i'm just going by his own words....he said out of his own mouth that lara was a LAST resort. as in, I only want lara if I can't get anybody else. dude acts like he got the stripes to be turnin down fights like that......but if he goes on to fight culcay then lara that's great. that's the type of shyt he needs to be doing in order to get his name known. "earning a canelo shot" means nothing to me when I hear it. Canelo isnt putting up Floyd or Pacquiao numbers for someone to have to "earn a fight with him"...especially with the caliber of opponents hes been picking since taking that clinic from Floyd (outside of Lara). Canelo picks & chooses his opponents though, and you know it bc you constantly remind us of how "calls the shots", so the fact he hasn't fought Andrade means he don't want it to me...plain & simple

I can believe everything said about Davis.

When I seen him at the Bey/Barthelemy fight, dude was wild hyper and shyt. Like this nikka couldn't sit still or down for more than 5 minutes at a time. nikka kept roaming the arena like he was some lil kid.
He's the type of cat that I think you gotta really supervise or put your foot in his ass to make them do right.

Floyd ain't the best promoter by a long shot, but he's shown to be generous as fukk, even to his own detriment.
