Finally got a chance to see Soto Karass/Kamegai fight and that shyt was
lowkey FOTY quality, just needed a knockdown, but damn they still went at it.
I see where Spence is coming from with the Pac can't cut off the ring tip, but with Manny's style he never really had to cut off the ring like that. Dude had great footwork and was so energetic he'd just swarm you from any angle anyway. The only time nikkas even really complained about Manny's cutting off the ring flaw was when he had a nikka in survival mode and couldn't catch up to them. We saw it in the late rounds of the Cotto fight and pretty much the whole Shane fight after the knockdown. Then we saw it again against Bradley in the 1st fight. Manny couldn't cut off the ring in any of those fights but he still won clearly and those opponents couldn't capitalize off of that weakness.
Some people might share the same flaws, but that doesn't mean it's an equal detriment to their style.
Look at it this way. Rocky Juarez's inability to cut off the ring hurt him more than it hurts a guy like Manny.
